Renewables just aren't worth it - Josh 281
Many thanks to Bjorn Lomborg for his help in putting this Infotoon together. There are also a couple of short but excellent videos on Bill Gates blog here - worth retweeting/sharing widely.
NOAAgate - Josh 280
The temperature adjustments story has been brewing for weeks principally due to the many posts at 'RealScience' but taken up by others, for example, Paul Homewood, see here and here. Judith Curry has a great post about it here, as does Anthony here.
H/t to Real Science/StevenGoddard for suggesting including Toto.
Enviro-mental - Josh 279
Liberally Dim - Josh 278
We did of course already know that the UK was planning on using diesel to compensate for renewable energy fluctuations, cartoon here. But Ed Davey's latest bright idea is to use diesel for just about any kind of hiccup in energy. And, of course, to have us, the public, pay for the privilege. See here, here and here.
Proper mad.
Happy Birthday 97% - Josh 277
There is so much to cartoon this week it is difficult to choose what to start with. I went for Brandon's brilliant 97% data discovery. Apparently all you need to do if you want to be part of the 97% consensus that global warming is a real and present danger is just add 'Global Warming' or 'Climate Change' somewhere near or in your paper. So let's go the extra mile and help these guys get published - let's give them a sticker!
Bob Ward gets risky - Josh 276
Bob Ward's tweets today have been a revelation - historic even - see the Bish's post here. Happily they have coincided with a couple of Antarctic stories that deserve cartooning. Thanks, Bob!
Update: Tiny tweek to cartoon
It's a knock out - Josh 274
Apparently one single post by Judith Curry needs thirty alarmist posts to rebut it, so says Victor Venema. Yes, her arguments are that good and alarmism is that weak!
Ye olde techniques - Josh 273
Goodbye to all that - Josh 272

As many know I have a bit of a 'glass half full' opinion on the state of climate science and with the recent IPCC offerings along with activist mutterings of 'we are all heading for a cliff' type alarmism and calls for Climate Scientist strike action, I imagined this view of where we/they are at.
Happy Easter!
Ed Davey leads the charge to nowhere - Josh 269
H/t Richard Drake and Robin Guenier for describing Ed Davey, our lost and confused Energy & Climate Change Secretary, as a Solitary Lemming - see here. Ed has been saying that "Britain must lead the international battle against global warming". It's not been a good week for the Lib Dems has it.
As you may know the idea that Lemmings jump over cliffs is a made-up myth. Which is kinda the point of the toon ;-)
