Great news about the new members of the GWPF Board. They are amassing a lot of firepower there.

As for news from Australia, you seem to get the headlines quite regularly. I can't imagine that the arcania of Australian politics are of interest here.

The Government has two problems in implementing sensible environmental policies, both of which will be familiar to UK readers.

The first is a bunch of wets within the parties who must have signed the wrong application form. They should be in Labor (sic) or the Greens.

The second is a gullible and sloppy MSM, cheerleaded by the ABC, which has never read a Greenpeace press release that they didn't fervently believe in.

That is all at the macro level. Happy to provide info on specifics if anyone asks.

I think Stornaway is in there too but Heathrow probably isn't. I think the list changes and so does the sum total - how else would they manage to create more of a slope every year?

Leeming 1971-2015
Valley 1931-2015
Eskdalemuir 1931-2015

Many of the stations were in the World weather station list I posted earlier. Note No mention of Camborne in GISS station list!

Are they extrapolating all the rest? "Filling in"

There must be a definitive list available somewhere, or is this list correct and the GISS data base a load of garbage?

cheers

GG

Sorry Joanna, please share your comments and info about Australia , Abbott ;wind subsidies abolition, BOM fiddling ... plenty of space here.
- I'm not writing a blog, just quickly sharing raw info and quotes, often live.
- Hence bullet point style.
- Yep harder to read than narrative, but forcing people to process it themselves point by point makes them pass it thru their brains.

NW
Pre-dualcarriageway I had two very near misses along the stretch from Greenloaning to Perth and a number of other interesting moments (none my fault apart from being in the wrong place at the wrong time). That and the old A74 were two of my least favourite roads. Despite the average speed restrictions an unsafe road will have a greater carbon footprint than a safe one.

TBYJ yes, the two are very complimentary. I've not started yet but I've been doing loads of research before I splurge on a new computer. My interest is in modelling a real medieval city rather than creating a game but even as a toy, Unity looks fascinating. I suspect I could idle a lot of hours away on it just creating landscapes.
