The CO2 faithful follow the Sherlock Holmes maxim

How often have I said to you that when you have eliminated the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth

Many think that Holmrs/Conan Doyle were scientists. I've always been more aligned to the "We just don't know" and "there are more things in heaven and earth" of Moore and Shakespeare. Coupled with an element of we're all Doomed and the world is going to hell in a handcart leads to an unshakeable belief in man-made catastrophic disaster. Who knows they may be right but it doesn't seem likely that after 150 years of approaching climate disaster and 5000years of miscellaneous ends to mankind.

The Guardian is in full panic incitement mode, BECAUSE no one is bothering to cover the IPCC.

In the PR Spin before Katowice COP 24, I expect the Poles are very pleased that Global Warming panic is cooling down, as they have a lot of coal to burn and industry that needs it.

Today is the anniversary of the infamous Michael Fish "No Hurricane" TV weather forecast. Technically, he was correct, it was not a "hurricane"

How are the Meteo Group doing for BBC weather forecasts? I think their 1-5 day forecasts are giving useful and realistic info.

Climate Scientists have never admitted a mistake. Their work is based on science fiction, so who else should they blame if their calculations have never been right?

Pcar
I didn't watch the whole programme just the first question to see if BBC continued the hype.

elsewhere - the murderous thugs in Saudi Arabia are threatening to:

1. Install a Russian base
2. Take oil to $200
3. Kill the petro dollar
4. Stop buying US weapons

If they are held to account over killing and chopping up a journalist in a diplomatic compound in Turkey.

Golf Charlie:

Next, they will blame Slartibartfast on Magrathea for building The Earth wrong.

Oh they wouldn't do that, would they? Slartibartfast may have received an award for his work, but it was only Norway. They couldn't blame everything on him. That'd be like accusing a tiny fraction of the atmosphere of endangering the whole planet.

So @EM says that If we hadn't done any anti CO2 measures, 2018's average CO2 would be 425ppm

@EM

RCPs are about sources + sinks?

Care to explain the sources and sinks of CO2 as observed by OCO-2 ?

Thought not
