Lots of blogs helping John Cook out here, especially Lucia and Brandon over at The Blackboard where Brandon has just discovered that the survey of 12,000 papers, is, in fact, not a survey of 12,000 papers but a selection of papers based on John's own idea of which should be chosen. Wow.

Spamvertising - Josh 207

A bit of an anniversary cartoon as it was a year ago this month that The Tree Hut Gang were were exposed in Opengate. Now they have branched out into Spamvertising (H/t Lucia) with Al Gore's Climate Reality Project. Read about on BH here, Lucia's here and WUWT here.

Let's hope they keep up this kind of tactic, it is so entertaining.

Yesterday Lucia sent me an email about the recent Gergis et al 'on hold' paper with the subject title "Do you understand the math enough to do a cartoon?".

My response was, of course, to nervously read the email to gauge just how embarrassing my assured 'fail' would be.
