Green dad twit
Greendadtwit is the nom-de-tweet of Jason Rose, the "Head of Media" for the Scottish Green Party in Holyrood. (Presumably he is the PR person rather than actually head of anything, but that's another story).
I recently came upon a tweet he sent after my appearance on the BBC newsdrive show - readers may recall I had an interesting exchange of views with the interviewer over what he saw as my status as a "denier". Anyway, despite my having explained that I am not denying anything, including mankind's influence on the climate, Mr Rose had this to say.
13,950 peer reviewed climate reports and .@BBCNewsdrive gives airtime to Montford the Denier to witter on. Poor show.
It's not only the dishonesty and misrepresentation that one notices. It's also the attempt to prevent dissenting views appearing at all.
I wonder when Newsdrive will call again.

Self-confessed twit throws hissy fit.
Nothing to see here. Move along.
It would be interesting to know: a) what evidence he has for the figure of 13,950 or is it just another example of '69.2% of statistics are made up on the spur of the moment'; b) how many of those papers he has actually read; c) how many of them he actually understood.
Surprising that the party's two MSPs need a "Head of Media". Sounds like just one more piece of over (self-)promotion.
What an entirely suitable twitter name- green...twit describes him perfectly. bit, Sounds just like the critics who haven't read the HSI when they criticise it. Greentwit criticises the Bishop without actually listening to what he said.
It doesn't matter what you say. To catastrophiliacs like this guy you are the anti-Christ.
Regards
Mailman
How many of those 13,950 papers are about attribution and how many merely assume CAGW is true and then go from there?
How would he react to 'Jason the Gullible' I wonder?
No point in having a battle of wits with the unarmed.
You have to get used to being called a denier. It is a normal part of their propaganda tactic.
His grumpyness might be down to not having had a drink recently

Take a drink man, everything will be fine... ;-)
Curious as to who the other Scottish Green Party MSP was (the dynamic former Morningside Councillor Alison Johnstone - how could I have forgetten?), I looked up Wiki, wot said:
"It is the second largest party in Scotland to support Scottish independence".
Wow.
Head of Media for the Scottish Green Party?
"Ministry of Truth" would appear rather more apposite.
A couple of days later he issued an astroturfing call to his flock:
Jason Rose @greendadtwit
"Forget cybernats. Cybergreens please set about BBC Scotland. Another climate denier on air! What on earth? Well handled .@Richard_Dixon."
The BH thread with the link to the interview is here
gives me opportunity to comment on the on air performance
- Well done Bish, but it was obvious that the other guy had been coached or had some media training and the Bish hadn't
Maybe you have to know your simple points and come armed with simple rebuttals, so that you don't lose time umming
- Denier ? - No I accept science and 10 years of steady global temperatures says there is no real sign of run away Global warming ..so it's the catatrophist activists who are the DENIERS
- Wind ? If it works it doesn't need subsidies ..it had long enough time already for the technology to mature
- Real Cost : Suffering Today : megasubsidies means higher electricity prices for Grandma means she turns down the heat .. do you know how many people die from cold in the UK each year ?
- the fake 97%
- the massıve funding of the multinational eco-propaganda charities
etc. etc.
- Green dad twit is not worth commenting on "13,950 peer reviewed climate reports" means nothing .. it's like he automatically they all support Green dogma
"13,950 peer reviewed climate reports" and authorities have been shown to be useless at predicting the future .. those papers often predict things which didn't come true "ice free artic by 2008,2009, 2010 " etc.
Rose sent the tweet AFTER Mr Montford's appearance on the radio show. So how can that be an "attempt to prevent dissenting views appearing " ?
Morph, by providing a link to www.green-dad.blogspot.co.uk you've probably massively increased his readership.
I note that his blog posts have an average number of reader's comments well below 1. Not that polular a blog, I would guess.
Hengist -
I find your remark bizarre...the tweet was not intended to prevent Montford's appearance in the past. [I find it hard to even write that sentence.] Rose is plainly saying that providing airtime to "d*****" is a bad thing. One may infer that he believes that BBC should not do it in future.
Ah Hengist, good to see you back.
You must have been a good boy and taken all your medication.
@ Hengist
The clue is in the final sentance;
"I wonder when Newsdrive will call again."
"taken all your medication"
Not all of it, apparently.. :-)
Well your grace, you must be doing something right if the "Scottish Green Party" hate you. Keep it up.
The "Head of Media" for the Scottish Green Party in Holyrood...says it all really. Not many people are going to be taking a joker like this to seriously I would suggest.
The Scottish Parliament has 129 MSPs elected under a form of proportional representation.
Only 2 of them are from the Scottish Greens.
They are not a major political force in Scotland.
The attitude these green characters have to views which dissent from their own should really make people think who might be considering voting them into positions of power.
Such voters might not be bothered because they think that those views are and always will be in sympathy with their own. Better be very sure about that because once they are in power there will be no going back. Also remember they are politicians, and politicians lie a lot.
Let's face it, stringing 140 odd characters together in a meaningful way is not a trivial task for some of the twitteratti.
So it doesn't come as a complete surprise that Jason Rose should fall back on some rather lame and uninspired way of bashing-the-Bishop (if you'll pardon the expression).
King Canute was probably regarded as a denier, but he was able to demonstrate unequivocally that he was right.
