Subsidised trough

Some more useful information from the Freedom of Information Act: prices at the Strangers Bar in the Palace of Westminster.  Sample prices for a pint of beer include:

Fosters £2.10

Guinness £2.20

You can't help but wonder if this generous pricing policy is the cause of the quality of the legislation they send our way.

Ah, yes, but.....the price of something is the total price you have to pay, not just the cash you hand over.

Think about it, you're drinking amongst politicians, journalists, SpAds and political groupies.

Having actually done it (I had a Commons pass for most of the past year) the cost of drinking in there is much higher than just the cash.
