‘According to the mainstream media (read the BBC): if a Leftist wins an election it’s a mandate;
... if a conservative wins an election they need to heal the divide’

and MSM/BBC:

Castro was President, although some on the right called him a dictator...
Assad regime (not Gov't)
President Mugabe's Gov't, President Zuma's Gov't
So called terrorist group ISIS

Venezuela - mothers giving away or abandoning their children as they can't feed them, coffins rented, no loo paper... in Chavez/Maduro socialist utopia. Who? Where? Nope, never heard of that country.

East Aleppo - has more hospitals than any other 1/2 city - BBC/MSM tells us Assad/Putin bombed & destroyed another one everyday week after week.

If left/greens dislike something, something is controversial. If right, they oppose/block despite...

Labour MP on BBC: NHS cuts. It's back to the 1980s, Labour/unions demand 10% increase - increase is RPI+1 (say 4%) = 6% cut in funding.

@Pcar
what about all those BP North America folk ? all their data is anonymous and confidential? I'd expect that eventually the RFID (NFC) tags in the health trackers will be integrated in corporate access control mechanisms etc ...

I know some of what Schlumberger subject its employees to in terms of intrusive monitoring of their lives *outside* work hours - which is added into their HR assessments....

Headbands to detect impure thoughts linked to corporate data centres which message rectal tasers?

The devices are "offered" at no cost - a free gift which one may decline. If they were compulsory and employer had access to all data I would not support; if employer had access to data whilst on premises/working I would consider arguments for and against.

As voluntary free gift, I would accept one and lock it down.

After listening to Paul Mason present R4 8pm prog I checked his Twitter feed.
- Oh what a coincidence; he is Labour Party connected.
- Someone seeks to debate him

@paulmasonnews
@nhfinney talk to me when you believe in science mate
- See Mason just pulls the label, sneer, dismiss trick to avoid the issues
That's cos Nicholas Finney OBE defines himself as
Transport Policy Adviser-Passionate about leaving EU and proud to be a CO2 denier but wanting our environment to be protected

lol. Except for me, many other commenters, and, presumably, Entropic Man himself. None of us are censored.
I started commenting here because I think cAGW is probably a crock. An economically damaging crock that harms everybody, the poor more than the rich, and it needs to be publicised.

@EM

From site you linked to:

About the Author

Hannah Nicklin didn’t go to Cambridge or do a degree in politics or anything. She got some quite good GCSEs, ... got a degree in Drama, worked for a theatre company for a few years and now is doing a PhD in video games and theatre. ... everything she learnt about politics she learnt by ... a liberal use of wikipedia.
...
She does think the way the cuts are being dealt is a bad and dangerous thing, and personally is quite left wing

I would not consider her site to be a reliable, reputable or accurate source on politics or anything else.

Sloppy research and citation by you.

@HP no new to me
But a flurry of new reports - new story
... Guessing that means fund raising ....cos 10 months ago ...was almost same news- story :" The Ashalim Solar Power Station under construction in Israel will power 130000 households beginning in 2018" link
Wake me up in 18 months time when/if they've built it and got it working.
121MW is pretty tiny , at 40% load factor thats say 50MW ...same as a container ship engine.

I perfectly happy to criticise Conservatives if they do wacky things like support mad green policies and subsidies.
And I think Progressive Lefty ideas are admirable, but principles and actions are 2 different things the people who I criticise most these days label themselves Lefty but behave in a fascist mob way.. Acting regressively not progressively.
- Acting against Tolerance ...they bully, misrepresent, namecall, try to stop free speech.
- Acting against principles of justice by putting virtue signalling against all else
- Acting against principles of equality by dividing society into groups and then awarding some groups special privileges.
Leftmob I call them.

I see from the 'Premium' DT that the Israelis are building their own Ivanpah in the Negev desert. Perhaps, stewgreen, you've already seen this?

"Right wing people tend believe they shouldn’t have to pay for someone else’s education or health service."
Under that defn there can't be many right wing people in the UK.
I haven't seen anyone saying government shouldn't fund schools. Is that you @Golf ?
