With so many Londoners set to be walking everywhere, what type of shoe sole will be acceptable to the Green Blob?

I just keep thinking "Cobblers" with each successive announcement.

Times pg 14 : Ben Webster is not writing the normal DieselsRpaedos but rather "Electric Cars Must Be Limited too, says expert"
Frank Kelly says that all cars must be banned from most places in London. Cos of PM2.5

Then Webster wrongly claimsv: "contribute to 29,000
deaths a year"

"If you make every vehicle electric you will still be above the WHO limit"

Funny how no one talks about new tyre tech
And just pretends EVs are a magic solution.

The Wato item was strange
First Harra spoke, saying that there's been no change in pollution 32 of the 40 zones are higher than UN law
Maliciously failing to explain the context that the 40 measured pollution zones do not represent the UK just a set of hotspots.
That the levels were much higher before, but it's the law that is fairly new and that the laws levels are artificial and do not necessarily represent the level is dangerous.

Then the Client Earth guy did his propaganda bit.

But the weird thing is the item didn't have any real news ...just nothing has changed much on air pollution levels.
Well its never likely that levels would change much in such a short time.

The presenter said something like transport is the main source of NOx
I'm not positive that is true
cos even if you remove cars/lorries you'd still have NOx from agriculture and planes.

tomo, this is not Unprecedented

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cambridge_Five

" ....  was a ring of spies in the United Kingdom, who passed information to the Soviet Union during World War II and was active at least into the early 1950s. Four members of the ring were originally identified: Kim Philby (cryptonym: Stanley), Donald Duart Maclean (cryptonym: Homer), Guy Burgess (cryptonym: Hicks) and Anthony Blunt (cryptonyms: Tony, Johnson). ....... the number increased as more evidence came to light."

Meanwhile, the Civil Service and BBC seem infiltrated with destructive elements.

stewgreen, 2 types yes, but the hypocrisy over deaths they are responsible for is universal.

@GC why would Harra bother with cold deaths
GreenBlob are all about PR not truth
There's 2 types of GreenBlob person
- Those who lie to protect the Green Religion
- Those who lie cos they are in a financial scam

"To those symbols of statehood, President Macron now wishes to add a financial transfer union, which, he feels, is necessary to make a success of the single currency. On a continent inhabited by a multitude of diverse peoples with no shared identity, Macron’s proposal, if implemented, will surely prove to be the EU’s undoing."

Since DECC refused to tell us - one does wonder how many folk at BEIS Science have affiliations to assorted eco NGOs or are indeed on secondment from those NGOs to BEIS.

Given the civil service's reticence about recruitment to DECC from eco NGOs - I think it's clear that they were in there - and they are still in there attending midweek quizzes with their old mates.

The resisting of disclosure simply stinks and one must assume that they are enjoying thumbing their noses at those of us who think that profound conflicts of interest in the public sector should be a matter of public record.
