Warning also given: organic milk has ~50% less iodine; soy, almond, coconut et al fad "milks" contain none.

Too much iodine is not good for you. People who eat a lot of seaweed are most vulnerable.

Crispy fried seaweed, as served in UK Chinese reataurants, is normally a non-marine brassica such as cabbage or kale.

The proverb “no smoke without fire” holds true. Not many domestic fires are totally smoke free. Dry wood and good combustion minimizes particulates but doesn't eliminate them.
Anyone who has spent their life living in a rural areas; properly rural that is where burning of coal, wood, peat and in emergencies dried manure have never gone out of fashion, could tell the experts that these domestic fires are a source of a most of the particulates in rural areas in winter. In some parts of the country winter can include all 12 months. The only people who think that biomass in urban areas for domestic heating is environmentally friendly is completely out of touch with reality probably they also think that wild animals live a life of ease and plenty.

Struggling to understand the relevance of the dinner reference at the end? An attempt at a kill shot?

According to Ambrose Evans-Pritchard
Germany is greatly understating the true size of its current account surplus - in other words cooking the books is anyone surprised - well of course the PM might be.

Jacob Rees Mogg Dismisses Brexit Impact Leak Nonsense

PM Mrs May, stop wasting time & money "negotiating", don't pay £40Bn. Tell Merkel & Junker we've left EU and are implementing WTO with 0% import tariffs from 1st February 2018 - UK as Atlantic Singapore.

PM Tim W about DONG & the EU choosing winners "illegal state subsidy" of HVDC links and suggest he writes paid & blog.

Also, recommend he checks http://www.bishop-hill.net/unthreaded regularly, lots of material here of more economic importance than ragging, groan, singer died...

I've tried, and had success with some H/Ts, but one led to a contentious Forbes (SNAP) then the later Forbes article that....

Labour councillor's resignation letter in full

...The controversy over regeneration in Haringey is a perfect example of the conflict at the heart of the Labour Party.

In their campaigns against the regeneration of some of the most deprived parts of the borough, those who now dominate Labour revealed an unforgivable willingness to exploit. They fought to keep people in positions of deprivation.

Why? To manufacture anger and hatred as fuel for their desired class war. I have nothing – nothing – but contempt for these politics, which only achieve keeping the downtrodden, downtrodden. These politics are immoral, are destructive, cause great harm to the poorest, and great harm to society, and they now dominate the Labour Party...

ah... but it's not a state yet is it?

The web of HVDC interconnectors between UK and Ireland, Norway, Denmark, Holland and France as I said seems to have Green Blob / EU conniving throughout. It's serious money and the supporting business cases are littered with unsupported assumptions that the wind is always blowing and the sun is always shining somewhere....

I think they should be prosecuted for egregious use of vogue-ish opaque, turgid bureaucrat-ese if nothing else... It's hard work reading though most of it.

The pickings are rich enough that the subcontractors join in with the general hallelujah-ing. I can see why the SNP fools might want an extension cord from Norway (heavily subsidised by the rest of the UK).

I think DONG's antics could do with looking over by a cynical international corporate accountant - there are quite a few I reckon over at Worstall's place ....
