Supertrol, golf charliel

Do the physics.

From the end of the last glacial period Milankovich warming raised the temperature 1.5C over 10,000 years. A slow 80ppm increase in CO2 over the same period added enough positive feedback to produce an overall warming of 5C.

5000 years ago we started back down, -1C to the mid 1800s, with only a small change in CO2 due to the usual lags.

Now we have a small Milankovich cooling and a big jump in AGW from the rapid rise in CO2. Don't you believe your own profession?

Golf charlie, why are you obsessed with a 20 year old paper whose results have been confirmed repeatedly.

Put this on WUWT and no-one even thought it worth disagreeing with. The standards there have greatly declined.
So I thought I'd post it here where I lurk for people to consider.

Well the European markets just closed. And they haven’t moved.
No impact from the end of the world in twelve years. The costs of the environmental disasters are already costed in without anyone noticing.
And also the costs of all the new regulations that the report expects to be implemented… they haven’t moved anything either.

If even Europe acknowledges that the IPCC report is meaningless then it’s over.
We Sceptics have won.

Taken to basics: you like Marmite, don't force me to pay for your Marmite and buy Marmite too.

hah - I used a similar set of points on one local Green Westminster candidate a few years back to quite amusing effect - she threatened me with a defamation action :-) I doubled down and went on to call out and evidence her lies.

She shut up

Pcar - re Computingforever - that EU sh1t coming down the chute is exactly the sort of stuff that ordinary people will wave off as "nah... you're making it up - they'd never do that" until it happens. I've seen it many times now - you explain that something unpleasant might happen and how some action is required to stop it and "here's the details - look for yourself" - and people ignore what you say and then get all indignant when it comes to pass.....

@Ross Inconsistencies in the Green Position, there are tonnes
Earlier today I was thinking about their "have you cake and eat it" attitudes
#1 Why is the Times giving me a pleading piece about GW
"We have to reduce CO2"
..then the next page is the same 8 page pullout advert they have almost EVERY day about cruising ?

#2 Why is the BBC giving me a pleading piece about GW
"We have to reduce CO2"
Then their next programme is either about cooking something for 3 hours
or involves their presenters jetting off to multiple locations in a 1 hour prog ?

#3 Why are the folks at a Green festival pleading "We have to reduce CO2" "keep the air clean"
Then thing they do is stand around a huge great bonfire and smoke a spliff ?

#4 Why is Tesla telling me "We have to reduce CO2"
and then saying we can do this by paying £80K for their cars ?
Paying £80K for a car is not green.

========================

Their world seems entirely partisan Identity politics : all chanting the same tune
Whereas we bicker and call each other out all the time

We do not see them stand up and say "this doom scenario model is true, but using the 97% argument is wrong " etc.
===============

In fact I think their side acts in bad faith, all the time
The censor and ban commenters
they won't debate
they misrepresent and use smear labels etc.

@Ross Lea re Piers-Corbyn on LBC
They used different spin in tweeting the same item
Last they used :"This is the moment a scientist *took down* Jeremy Corbyn's brother for arguing that a climate change report was "anti-scientific nonsense".

Earlier on they used
"Piers Corbyn *Clashes* With Scientist Over Climate Change Report "
and that is their actual file title :lbc.co.uk/radio/presenters/nick-ferrari/piers-corbyn-clash-with-scientist-climate-change

Professor Stuart Haszeldine (called himself as a geologist)
said he backed the conclusions the report "100%"
The professor replied:
"I think we're on a different set of belief systems with Mr Corbyn, I deal with facts and information."
(As for the first part "different set of belief systems" I would agree on that
.. In particular PC had a totally different explanation for the warmth of Venus vs the geologist's CO2 one
Otherwise re coral .. he just said it's all dying whilst PC said it's not)

No one made a comment there
But someone copied that same LBC edit to Youtube
the comments there are incredibly partisan with half the people ripping into Piers 'you are an idiot, you are not a scientist' etc

Last night Nigel Farage had an open discussion about GW
