Looks like a healthy serving of schadenfreude on the menu.

Has Gummer got anything brewing in time for Xmas?

So with any luck we could see trougher Yeo join prisoner Huhne on the roll call of old lags.

Yeo, Huhne, et al. What is it about these oh so superior intellectuals that makes them so clever? Sarc off.

We always get some good news at this time of year, like Climategate.

The foundations of fortress Climate Change are beginning to crumble.

Nov 27, 2015 at 11:06 AM | Unregistered CommenterTinyCO2

Its all a conspiracy by Big Oil to derail COP21.

Nov 27, 2015 at 11:08 AM | Unregistered CommenterTerryS

Phillip Bratby, I thought that. 10:10, Snowmageddon. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the next big defector.

Nov 27, 2015 at 11:12 AM | Unregistered CommenterTinyCO2

What did I ask yesterday bish!!!

Please - there's now some 15 different strands to this climate scandal - so many things are happening that I've just written around five articles this morning, I was just thinking I might be able to sit down with a nice relaxing coffee break.

When you print this!

... what about tomorrow? Can we have a day off from scandals tomorrow?

Nov 27, 2015 at 11:26 AM | Registered CommenterMikeHaseler

Well done Mike. There are a lot of lists now about various aspects - like how many things are attributable to climate change, how many explanations there are for the cause of the hiatus, how many explanations there are that there is no hiatus etc.

Nov 27, 2015 at 11:36 AM | Registered CommenterPhillip Bratby

Not really a proper scandal, more BAU, but The Groan is deleting comments on climate articles as if its life depended on it.

I posted a lot on http://www.theguardian.com/environment/2015/nov/26/paris-climate-change-conference-circus-comes-to-town yesterday and all but 2 were deleted.

Ironic, in a way, as most were direct quotes from IPCC AR5.

From memory, I think about 75% of all comments on the article were disappeared overnight.

Comment Isn't Free you know.

Tim Yeo has worked out how to play a "blinder" under Police Interrogation

Police Officer: "So Mr Yeo, did you tell lies in court?"

Tim Yeo "No Mr Police Officer, I did not tell lies in court"

And they all lived happily ever after.

Is that just wishful thinking, or do you know something..?

Gumboil was rooting for air strikes in Syria yesterday. I wish they'd drop him over the lines...

harrabin doesnt provide good value "reporting unbiasedly high quality information"

So, at the other side of the tax vcoin, he should be sued and jailed for the equivalent of say dodging 1M GBP HMRC income.

Which at the current rate that , say, taxi drivers and freelancing plasterers get punished, would put him in the BigHouse for 1000 years.

“implausible”, “unreliable”, “not honest”,”dishonest”, “untruthful”, “untrue” and “unworthy of belief”.

Is it the Norfolk hobby bobbies again?

Nov 27, 2015 at 2:25 PM | Unregistered CommenterMartyn

Tomo 10:48, any left over seasonal schadenfreude, can be dished up again and again,, for months, if reheated to an adjusted homogenised temperature, and served with extra relish.

Nov 27, 2015 at 3:01 PM | Unregistered Commentergolf charlie

Martyn, not necessarily the Norfolk bobbies. Yeo and Gummer both had constituencies in picturesque Suffolk, known to art lovers as Constable Country.

The system of sea defences and land drainage dykes that made East Anglia what it is today, was largely designed by the Dutch, hundreds of years ago.

Woodbridge Tide Mill has been restored, and maintains a tradition of grinding wheat, with tidal power, on the same site since at least the Medieval Warm Period.

A wonderful area to appreciate climate change, in the context of recorded history.

There were ten Green MP's, sitting on the wall,
There were ten Green MP's, sitting on the wall,
And if one Green MP, should accidently fall,
There'd be no Green MP's sitting on the wall

(I think the maths is wrong, but it is Climate Science politics, so no one can count anyway. Apart from their multiple bank accounts, shared in their wife's name, for sound tax purposes)

Martyn

Tim Yeo was the South Suffolk MP for thirty years, before being deselected just in time for the genetal election this year.

Rest assured that former voters and constituents are delighted at this not unexpected court decision, and we will keep up the pressure. We will be pushing forward other instances of suspected malpractice.

We should be entitled to quality parliamentary representation, not someone arrogant enough to be “implausible”, “unreliable”, “not honest”, "dishonest”, “untruthful”, “untrue” and “unworthy of belief”, before a judge.

I'm not a frequent gambler but I would place abet, that if the investigating bobbies were from Suffolk it may well be Constable Collaborator Country.

If this is true it will really make my day.

As you know I received a "be quiet or else" letter from Troffa's briefs (Carter-Ruck) for daring to suggest that he was anything other than as pure as driven snow.

Is this assessment by a Judge, of one of Carter Ruck's own clients who instigated Legal Action, unprecedented?

It will no doubt be a case that has earned Carter Ruck some healthy fees from this untrustworthy unreliable and dishonest client. Do they have a long list of clients hoping for such exceptional advice and guidance on bringing a case to court?

"Gumboil was rooting for air strikes in Syria"

Sorry, I misremembered that (it was quite late). The HoL debate was about ID cards which, it will not surprise you to learn, is another thing that Gumboil approves of. I wonder what security firm he has an interest in?

As with the odious Blair, I find his opinions a useful weathervane, and start asking myself serious questions if I think I might agree...

Brilliant evisceration of Lord Deben's 'narrative' on R4. Thanks for the effort. Hopefully, he will think twice before attempting to shoot himself in the foot next time.

Perhaps you could now safely quote Arkell vs Pressdram to Messrs Carter-Ruck. I imagine they're familiar with it.

jamesp & Don Keiller

If Tim Yeo offered advice on engaging the services of Carter Ruck, would his opinions be worthy of trust?

Yeo had received so much support and money from the Green Blob. They obviously had a lot of common interests.

Nov 28, 2015 at 1:17 AM | Unregistered Commentergolf charlie

Well, there is always a chance that Yeo will seek to cut a deal based on his telling what he knows about insider greenist actions.

Shame no one will believe him. I guess jail will have to do.
