A fine statistician, Hank, did a comprehensive head to head comparison of AR(1) to Keenan's proposed ARIMA (3,1,0). No question. ARIMA is superior. Just thought you guys might find it of interest.

Josh, as a Guido follower, the Monday morning post is always a cartoon, traditionally done by risible cartoonists whose names temporarily elude me (Mark & ??). Yours would be a wonderful break from that.

EXTREMELY.!! Well worth a plod through.
In my more dismayed moments I'd put the entire Met Office Climate Cadre, NASA Goddard, CRU and the IPCC leadership into that pigsty. In my more positive moments, I just wish they had never existed as the world would be a better place if they hadn't.
The odious Yeo belongs there, but he doesn't deserve to be there all on his ownsome. A far larger sty would be required, but then it would be very hard to pick out the individuals involved in the small scale required to accommodate them. Excellent cartoon!

A request and idea for Josh.
I can picture Yeo standing snootily as a statue amongst dozens of other preeminent 'Climate Clowns', in a Pantheon type setting with resplendent robes and accompanying slipped laurels.
A fitting record for the future, of the false messiahs of doom and leaders of the phenomenon of the Cult of CO2-phobics and 'ambulance chaser' style weather obsessives !

The cry is for Yeo to Go. Unless it's to a long holiday in a solar-heated, wind-powered cell (at his own expense, not the tax-payers') I think it would be a mistake. Just imagine, if he's forced out of office he will be a loose cannon. He won't lose his contacts (who, I'm sure, he "looks after" well - you have to give to get) and he will be able to peddle his influence, albeit slightly diminished from not being in office, with absolute freedom and a total lack of transparency. So, jail him or keep him where he can be monitored.
@David Chappell. I agree absolutely.
Yeo has been corrupt for so long and so blatantly that any censure, short of prison, is a misscarriage of justice.

jamesp - that is exactly the problem, these crooks disappear off the radar and it is extremely difficult to find out what they are up to, but you can bet they are Jack Hornering (stick in his thumb and pull out a plum...).
I suppose I don't mind so much as long as they're not making policy, but I take your point. As Yeo let slip, he can do and say what he likes in private!

Brilliant cartoon, as ever, but the constant pig references do seem a little hard on the species. I have yet to meet one that is anything like as greedy, badly behaved, untruthful or just plain dirty as Mr Yeo.
Has anyone noticed a severe lack of Comments on Tim Yeo articles in the Press?
The Telegraph is not even allowing them and the Mail only has 13.
JamesP. You are right, mea culpa. I am actually very fond of pigs - I think they are wonderful. So herewith I sincerely apologise to all members of the Porcine Family. Let's hope they don't mind too much and see the funny side.
No doubt Tim Yeo enjoys the PM's 'complete confidence'...
