More corruption at DECC

Guido reports that Charles Hendry, the former Energy Minister, has got a new job.
[Hendry has] just been announced as the chairman of the wind energy giants Forewind. The consortium comprising of four international companies -Scottish and Southern, RWE, Statoil and Statkraf – was awarded the contract in 2010 to build the huge “Dogger Bank” windfarm 125km off the Yorkshire coast.
Yeo, Deben, Hendry. There is no end to it.

And Huhne too. As the Mail reminds us, Huhne is a paid consultant to Nationwide Energy Services.

In the comments, we are reminded that the last chairman of Forewind was Lord Deben.

Let's face it, the war is lost - we had science, truth, honesty and integrity on our side and now all we can do is bury our dead!
We are a patient, peaceable people but eventually even ewes will attack foxes.
Harrogate Agenda before it's too late.
It's liberties like this that make me understand Baader-Meinhof and the Red Brigades.
When you feel helpless at people riding roughshod over you, well, certain extreme thoughts are bound to arise.
I have a file full of letters from Hendry. All lies it would seem. Still, his letters are interposed with ones from Huhne, so it's only fitting.
IIRC the Dogger Bank is popular with fishing trawlers. I hope they bury those cables well.. :-)
Just in case people aren't aware of who the previous chairman of Forewind was, see

I feel sorry for the satirists - it must be hard to keep up.
I believe that the Dogger bank was the mooring place in the eighteenth century for prison hulks.
Huhne to the Dogger anyone?
Will 'Private Eye' cover this, or will it remain 'Blind Eye' as far as climate-alarmism capers and catastrophes are concerned?
As long as Ian Hairflop is married to an eco-godess, have a guess.
Josh?
Huhne is far too honourable to continue to be rewarded by Nationwide Energy Services at £400+ / hr. He'll probably return his severance payment to the government or donate it to charity.
These people are not merely shameless, they epitomise every caricature of the money-grubbing politician, whether of the Left or the Right, cashing in at public expense while offering transparently bogus platitudes about their selfless desire to serve the public.
It's been suggested, perfectly credibly I'd say, that Huhne's championing of 'the urgent need to combat CAGW' owes everything to his seeing it as means of personal advancement, nothing to any kind of actual belief on his part that CAGW is genuinely a threat to humanity.
And by precisely the same token, it just so happens – and oh, what a happy coincidence! – that this subsequently positions the likes of Huhne, Hendry, Yeo and Gummer to offer their services to those commercial organisations whose mouths they have so adroitly directed towards the public teat.
It is very difficult not to see these sanctimonious, self-serving swindlers as, first, last and everything in between, straightforward shits, no different from the leering bounder of legend other than that now their victims are not little old ladies or innocent maidens but all of us.
The cost meanwhile is measured in billions.
So they were powerless to get the £17,000 back from the wretched Huhnatic who has harmed this country so greatly, but they weren't powerless when it came to taking it from innocent taxpayers to begin with. Something wrong somewhere.
It is news like this that makes me want to go out and throw bricks at Parliament.
The more rational part of me says "wait until there is a sizeable mob to help".
When and where will this corruption end?
Maybe Viscount Ridley can make a start?
Perhaps Josh could do a cartoon of a revolving door with these three low life going through it, with the House of Commons behind them and the grim facade of HMP Pentonville towering over them.
[Snip - venting]
Roll on Climategate 3
Makes me laugh (while gripping my AK47) that people like Lewandowsky can't see why the word 'scam' crops up so often on sceptic sites. Nothing (much) to do with 'the science' Lew ... we are just so tired of the pigs with their snouts in the CAGW trough.
They kill as they smile to the evening news camera - Liars, thieves and murderers. This will not end well.
Fresh inquiry into UK energy future
A nine-month inquiry into the future of the UK’s electricity supply run by the cross-party forum Carbon Connect has been launched in Westminster.
The Future Electricity Series will be chaired by former energy minister Charles Hendry MP and Baroness Worthington, opposition energy and climate change spokesperson in the House of Lords.
