Climat Depot reports on Al Gore's appearence on the David Letterman show. Al tells David 'There's a lot of opportunity in this crisis'. From Green tech to Oil funded Al Jazeera to Apple he has certainly done rather well.

You could somehow mix in his previous double-dipping in the tobacco quagmire. He's been both "for it" and "against it" simultaneously since childhood on many disparate things.

Minor correction. Al Gore invented the information superhighway.

When asked about his Al Jazeera hypocrisy in an interview (gasp), Al Gore reportedly replied: "I understand your criticism. I disagree with it".
Letterman is known for his partisan views [http://www.mediaite.com/tv/when-did-david-letterman-become-such-a-liberal-partisan/], and is likely to have been a willing participant in what was surely a piece of theatre for which Gore was well-prepared. It looks like a damage-limitation exercise as might be proposed, designed, rehearsed, and polished by a PR expert in the wake of the Al Jazeera deal.

shub: here's the quote from an interview Gore did with Wolf Blitzer in 1999 while he was warming up to run for President again: "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet."
Gore did some things legislatively re the information highway, but to suggest the internet would be different than it is today if he'd done nothing in that regard is dubious at best.

My previous comment was an attempt at sarcasm.
How about this: "During my service in the United States Congress, I took the initiative in creating the Internet. Later, after losing a presidential election, I took the initiative in creating global warming"
shub: lol. so true. Based on his incessant propagandizing and enormous carbon footprint, no one can claim more credit for creating global warming than Al Gore.
Why doesn't the right want to face up to the truth about Gore ? He left the white house with a million and is now reputed to be in the billionaire class by various dodgy means to do with global warming.

Just seen Al interviewed by Channel 4 news here in the UK. It really is true if he didn't exist someone would have to invent him as a object of scorn and ridicule. Keep it up Al soon everyone will realise that this warming stuff is just a hoax to make you and your mates rich(er).
