The Kraken wakes

Having slept for most of the last two days I now seem to have emerged none the worse for wear. With a bit of luck normal service will resume over the weekend.

Great news, glad you're feeling better. You might like to ask James D for a tot of whatever he's been drinking as a pick-me-up, coz whatever it is he's buzzin!!

Kraken...welcome back to dry land.
Land not threatened by the non rising of the oceans as foretold by "Quack-ens"
Looks like the Whisk y (sic) worked after all!
PW
Welcome back boss!
PS
please let me know when I can stop sitting in the corner :(
So that's you in the BBC story off the coast of Japan, then?
There's no doubt that this cAGW has made these winter bugs more vicious. I'll be glad when it's all over and hard winters can kill the little critters again.
I blame Hansen, he started it. Without him we'd be able to cope with Sir Paul's NightNurse and a few whiskies.
Glad you're on the mend.
No longer "far away into the sickly light" then.
But emergent "from many a wondrous grot and secret cell" perchance
Get well soon, Andrew. The world needs more people like you active and about.
Drink lots of water and chicken soup.
Take it easy for a few weeks.
I agree Cumbrian Lad. Like 97%* of Australia, Delingpole has been on fire this week.
* this percentage has been peer reviewed.
Echinacea, that's what you need. Welcome back, we all know how it feels.
Sleep is usually the best cure.
I recommend frequent doses of it myse ....
...
Where was I?
Anybody read Lean this morning? He's very close to being just about on the border of reasonable.
My advice, BH, is to stay in bed for at least two days after you think you're better. I didn't - I popped out on my ATV and put slug pellets on 60 acres of struggling wheat and then did half an afternoon with the chainsaw. Result: the next day, complete collapse, back to square one. It all started a month ago today.....Funny thing, what I really miss is my sense of smell!
Man flu can be a bitch.
Good news indeed you Grace, welcome back to firing on all cylinders! :-)

Could be a good time to visit UnSkepticalScience and have a look around. Maybe post something amusing such as 'there's no such thing as cAGW' and pop back to see if your comment is still there.
Glad you're feeling better, Your Grace.
DO heed the advice on here, though - us chaps are fragile little flowers - wimmin may be able to go lumberjacking, skydiving and white-water rafting two days after giving birth, but we need to proceed cautiously....
Off-topic-ish - seen on a matrix sign on the A1(M) just south of Peterborough this lunchtime:
'Snow forecast tomorrow'....
Presumably, like the 'free beer tomorrow' sign I've got in my bar, they can keep that showing until there actually is any...!
Mike Jackson
Yes I noticed that, right up until normality returned in the last paragraph ^.^
