A debate at Imperial
Feb 3, 2012 Climate: other Media
Lord Oxburgh chairs a discussion meeting at Imperial College, London. I ribbed Alice Bell about her earlier description of the event as a "debate", and you'll see why when I list the participants:
- James Painter
- James Randerson
- Louise Gray
- Joe Smith
The audio is here.

Debating how best to deal with those pesky bloggers, I expect.
(Sorry, can't type 'denier' without thinking of stockings, I'm afraid.)
Miss "Cut and Paste" Louise Gray,,,,,, Who would even bother!
She actually exists then.
Hmm! Pharos, It has been asked over at the D.M. for some time now but did anyone see her at the "Debate"? Maybe the true ZDB stood in for her! (Please do not snip me Bish!)
What our US cousins call a "circle jerk" I think.

That accounts for the "bate" part of it, anyway.

I can still remember stocking tops with great affection.
A masterclass I think, jorge.
1h20m of total drivel. Not a referenced fact in the whole thing. Oxburgh sums up at 78:45 with how the science is unchanged after 30 years....
There was a debate at Imperial and I missed it?
Thank goodness!
Talking about Painter, for my shameless self-promotion of the week, I hope the Bish forgives me if I provide the link the first of seven posts about my review of “Poles Apart: The International Reporting of Climate skepticism” by Painter himself
http://omniclimate.wordpress.com/2012/02/02/the-unknown-skeptic-an-essay-on-poles-apart-1of7-introduction/
The seventh part will be published by tomorrow. In a sentence, Painter shouldn't be writing about climate skepticism if he's afraid to quote climate skeptics.
