Hm.

Looks like a nice summer sky to me ...

Josh, are you trying to make us take a look at clouds, in a surreptitious way?

;-)

You forgot the Venusian clouds

Great!

But seriously, is there a dot there?

Ok, perhaps its time to clean the display ... but is there a dot there.

Also, you have the compass the wrong way up!

I've found the dot ... it wasn't dust, it's a non-functioning pixel ... curses ... I was quite happy when I thought it was dust!

Kevin Costner has spent years looking for the map stolen from his dressing room during filming of Waterworld.

Bish, you really need to add a "like" button for Facebook. Or is there one I've missed?

Incomprehensible times!
Best title for a cartoon in 2011.
Well done, Josh

How warm is that ocean? Has Josh found Trenberth's missing heat?

I know that map!

He had bought a large map representing the sea,
Without the least vestige of land:
And the crew were much pleased when they found it to be
A map they could all understand.

"What's the good of Mercator's North Poles and Equators,
Tropics, Zones, and Meridian Lines?"
So the Bellman would cry: and the crew would reply
"They are merely conventional signs!

"Other maps are such shapes, with their islands and capes!
But we've got our brave Captain to thank:
(So the crew would protest) "that he's bought us the best--
A perfect and absolute blank!"

Rapier wit at its best.

Josh,

OK, after closer inspection I see this is maybe a map related to the Maldives Islands.

On a cynical note, since I saw no people, I immediately got the impression that it was a map of the future by prepared by Malthusians. (no people)

Great cartoon, Josh, maybe my all time favorite. The book as presented in the cartoon will sell like hotcakes among the Greens because it provides their most desired experience, confirmation bias of a watery death for all.

Josh

Your square map of the world will be the best place for "flat earth cAGW scientists" to use as a jumping off point to the next World Wide Scare" once this crazy one has been binned eveywhere.
