Whatdon'ttheyknowanymore

Last week David Holland had a response to an FOI request for correspondence between UEA and Russell and Boulton. This turned up on one of my Google alerts and I have been busying myself analysing the results. David is away on holiday at the moment, but interestingly, if you go to look at the page for the request now, you see this.

I wonder what's up?

Bish, if you've got the URL, paste it into google, click search and then open the "cached" sublink. Might work.

The cache predates the release of info. The page is here.

This is, at least, part of it here

Yes, but that's not the response. There are several copies of the response around though, so not to worry.

I emailed WhatDoTheyKnow and it seems that some personal info was included in the initial response. They have now reinstated everything.

Richard Taylor's annotation today:

"A response was first sent to this request on 17 June 2011, we have removed that initial response as the UEA alerted us to the fact they had accidentally included sensitive personal information in the documents released.

As noted within the message from the UEA above a replacement response has now been provided. "

Any ideas who that sensitive personal information concerned?

Nicholas Hallam, normally this relates to e-mail addresses, which are normally openly available on academic websites.

Personal e-mail addresses are not openly available, but they would not be using those for work purposes, would they?!

Thanks golf charley. The taking out of the highly sensitive academic email address of the FOI office at UEA seems to be the only change. How disappointing! I was slavering at the possibility of a juicy conspiracy. Time to get back to work.

the fact that the FOI office's email is considered protected from FOI says it all.

"the highly sensitive academic email address of the FOI office at UEA"

Which has to be kept secret at all costs!
