but forgets about the chidren and parents well being in the next 50 years -

a bit like Sir John Houghton (IPCC) , also big on stewardship.. but NOT tackling poverty first..

Sir John Houghton (June 2010) – Co Chair 2001 IPCC Ar3 – ‘Hockey Stick’ report

“Haven’t we first to tackle World
Poverty, then Climate Change?

NO,

because unless
we tackle Climate Change now,
the plight of many of the poorest
will be enormously worse”

However if we eliminate malaria now for example (we know how at minimal cost) then an extra 5% malaria deaths in 50 years is MEANINGLESS.

'Lockwood says stewardship of planet immportant issue for grandchildren'

No discussion of cute ickle polies drowning? Motherhood and Apple Pie? Sugar and Spice and all things nice? Fairies at the bottom of the garden?

Perhaps they'll be left to his peroration.

This is the guy (Lockwood) who said about the weak solar cycle 24 that if there was going to be a cooling effect as a result then we would have seen it by now! Well are we not?

"Unless we eliminate global warming now, our grandchildren may only know of hurricanes from history books and films!"
