Today, making the coffee and playing catch - tomorrow, we'll be wondering how we ever managed without robots. Let's hope they don't ever start wondering how they can manage without us!
Mostly hype. The 80% success rate wasn't exemplified by showing misses. Not very impressive. Twenty years ago, a British robotics firm claimed they could build a robot that would simulate a Prime Minister with up to an 80% success rate. Of course, for a PM simulator, 80% success means dropping the ball 80% of the time. Anyone heard from them lately? /sarc
That's nothing! just wait until historians in the future dig up what the 60s 70s & 80s engineers could do (until their funding was re-directed into long term failures) similar to what The "Nature rag" done to "Cold Fusion", That energy based revolution was destroyed from the beginning and the image of free and abundant energy was aggressively blackened with lies by the same proponents who NOW promote the "sustainable energies for the future" rhetoric.
Simply hypocritical money scroungers, (It's a ploy of funding their own self interests, It's nothing less and nothing more than that!) They're NOT scientists! but Untrustworthy exploiters of state & private funded research funds.
On a small personal note; I began to build droids, R2D2 type replicas, two years back before I became involved (talked into) going into business for my self. what a waste! I think so, ha ha!
Very clever and impressive robot. I wonder if it would have advised building the backup diesel generators and fuel tanks for the Fukushima Nuclear plant on ground more than 10m above sea level?
I hope my wife doesn't see this robot in action making coffee - otherwise I shall be out of a job. Come to think of it, perhaps she should get to see it.
watch out Asimo! here come your rival, well maybe not a rival but a good motive to improve in the robotic world, you know in interesting how much has advanced the robotic in the last ten years, I hear that inclusive a robot can Buy Viagra in some places, can you believe it?

Just brilliant. Now why can't I do that?

80% success rate? Even Kamran Akmal approaches that.
Sparks,
"Cold Fusion" is an oxymoron. Thorium reactors are the way to go. ;< }
"Prime Minister with up to an 80% success rate"
Hmmmm. Whatever you say about Dave Boy & Cap'n Clegg, they can't be robots. An 80% success rate? Even their Mum's wouldn't claim that.
Regarding cold fusion, the situation seems ......interesting!
There are claims that demonstration generators are being generated by an Italian research group:

The concept is a nickel-proton nuclear reaction, not classical D-D fusion.
One thing is clear - someone will have egg on their face soon!

It is impressive how robots have involved in all those years. They can even Buy Generic Viagra for you .
Amazing, haha it looks a little scary yes, but it is awesome all what it can do.
Incredible if I have enough money I will like to buy one robot for my home and help with all the things I have to do
