Phew! I hope you had a good break. It has been a long week ....

Welcome back.

FYI - the GWPF meeting on Tuesday finished with about 10 minutes of Peiser saying what a good chap you were and how your next work for them was gonna be as good as HSI. I hope your ears were burning as that's a high hurdle to cross.

Otherwise fairly quiet here. Steve Mc visit, Climategate debate, Davies makes public arse of himself, Keenan accuses Jones of fraud, Monbiot reasonably even handed, Pearce good. Lots of blogging all round.

So just another normal week at the coalface. Nothing to see here, move along please............

Dear Bishop,

I am delighted to read that you are back.

When you started your deserved break, you left a message for your contributors which said, "be good while I am away.

Let me tell you....They did you proud!

Welcome back Bish! Missed your commentary while all these things have been happening, but I've no doubt you'll recap and catch up :)

Arnie has apparently been counting down the days - and has been seen muttering sadly to himself - something along the lines 'He'll be back'!

RETEPHSLAW: Yes, I think we were reasonable well behaved, even if some of us spell backwards.

Thanks Phillip, that comment of mine was aimed at you and a few others who are such interesting and knowledgable writers. Glad you worked out the spelling, goes back to my school days, a long long time ago. It is by the way, a googlewhack! Or it was the last time I googled it. There are lots of other retephslaw's to be seen, but they are all lower case.

Dont trust these posts Sir! While you were away there was an insurrection and your power was threatened -.-
Fortunately your loyal supporters fought back and the usurper was disembowelled quietly so as not to cause you any further problems.

Phillip,

Have you or any of your colleagues ever looked at the New Zealand Climate Change Coalition site? It can be very interesting. The item below, which I have just copied from their site, gives a list of about 750 peer reviewed anti AGW papers. I notice that the 2 Ms feature towards the top of the list.

P.s., do you think Dung has been overcome from inhaling the odour from his eh.......!

OOPS, The New Zealand Climate Science Coalition, not Climate Change Coalition

I am always overcome! Odour is not required.

Jul 17, 2010 at 8:13 PM | Unregistered CommenterDung

Dung is quite right - there was some idle discussion about setting up an anarcho-syndicalist commune to replace you, but I'd like you to know that you had my FULL, unequivocal backing throughout.

All it took was an unexpected visit by the Spanish Inquisition with there 2 weapons of surprise, fear and ruthless efficiency, and they were off!
