HSI at the London Book Fair

I'm grateful to Amelia's Magazine for mentioning the Hockey Stick Illusion on her blog today - even if she says she's not going to read it. Amelia came across the book at the London Book Fair where my tome was placed just above hers.

I think Amelia is best sticking to her illustrations. She seems a bit intellectually challenged. As wind farms are indeed a scam, then any alternative has to be better - the Wind Farm Scam doesn't have to give the alternatives.

An analogy to her logic
if i identified the real estate derivatives as a fraud, then i need to identify an alternative to it to be taken seriously.

What a truly awful website she has.

Well done on not getting a recommendation from her.

I've seen Amelia's website before. She wrote a report on the debate at the RI between Roger Pielke Jr, Bob Ward and Robert Muir Wood described here: http://bishophill.squarespace.com/blog/2010/2/6/has-global-warming-increased-the-toll-of-disasters.html

Here's her report:

Thanks for that. Where did I put the aspirin. Seems like Amelia is a product of our education system in all its glory. A plug from her would belong in the bathtub.

Hmm. I doubt that Amelia could handle the joined up writing in your book...

Amelia's biog:
Amelia trained as a printed textile designer at Brighton University, then dabbled in illustration before doing several seasons as a snowboarding chalet girl. She then returned to do work experience in the fashion cupboards at Marie-Claire, Arena and The Face. Amelia went on to become a freelance stylist and then began to take her own photos.

Eminently well qualified to lecture the rest of us on climate change.

I think she said that the book she wasn't going to read was the Wind Farm Scam one, not yours, Bish. I don't suppose she understood the title anyway...

I didn't think I would read a science based book that kept me up at night like a good whodunnit, but "The Hockey Stick Illusion" is doing this. It is very well written, clear, thorough and interesting. Your explanation of complex issues is masterly. Well done. I think when the history of this era is written, hindsight will reveal this as one of the scientific scandals of all time.
I bought the book in Australia via an on line bookseller (Booktopia). It came in about 2-3 weeks.
