Dec 11, 2009 Climate: CRU Climate: Surface FOI Chiefio has some more interesting analysis of one of the emails, showing how CRU, NCDC and the IPCC are all in each other's pockets. He also finds more evidence that CRU has been "economic with the actualite" in their responses to FoI requests.

He makes no claim to be an excellent communicator, but his deconstruction of the 'global warming record' is of equal importance to the heroic whistle-blower within EAU.

Ah, windansea, do you know Professor Schneider?
"Just as with Global Warming, we find Schneider in the vanguard of the Global Cooling doomsayers during the 1970s.
It was only when global temperatures took an upward turn around 1980 that Schneider and others quickly made a career change and became passionate advocates of impending catastrophe, only this time from warming, not cooling. But then, opportunism is a trait of politicians rather than scientists.
During the Ice Age Scare of the 1970s, Schneider was one of it's foremost advocates. He published a book titled "The Genesis Strategy" at this time, warning of the coming glaciation, and wrote glowing a testimonial on the back cover of a popular `Ice Age' book of the time - (Ponte, Lowell. "The Cooling", Prentice Hall, N.J., USA, 1976), in which the author claimed that the climatic cooling from 1940 to the 1970s was but the precursor to the main event - the coming Ice Age.
Schneider was one of the first in the scientific community to warn of the impending Ice Age with this paper -

What really bothers me is that Tiger Woods gets crucified for liking sex and women, while the UN and governments of the world get off scot free perpetuating this massive AGW swindle that will cost taxpayers trillions of dollars. So much for journalism. Where is the investigative reporting into this serious matter that will affect millions of lives? Where is the peer-review in the scientific process of climate change? No, instead Tiger Woods gets front page coverage in the News, Sports AND Entertainment sections of all the mainstream media channels. Something is very wrong; a revolution may be required to get rid of these climate change hucksters.
