Pcar

there's quite a bit of indignation elsewhere but it's clear that the police should have warned off the relatives right at the start - it's an elementary mistake and whoever's "in charge" needs to explain themselves.

Since there are different tribes of travelers - I'm wondering which particular tribe is involved in this. I know several local traveler families who are pleasant as can be - but they tell me that there are some Irish tinkers in the area that are simply appalling rascals on almost every level.

Plod needs to get a grip - something that's been conspicuously absent so far.

I'm reading that police + fire brigade have installed smoke alarms in Richard Osborn-Brooks' house after threats to burn it down.

The police are doing themselves no favours in the handling of this business - arrests of Daily Mail commenters are surely not far off.

I predicted arson yesterday @Longrider

Fire/smoke alarms in an unoccupied property seems a pointless gesture.

MET Deputy Commissioner has said anyone removing pikey flowers may be arrested for Breach of the peace.

If placing flowers results in BotP, arrest pikeys for incitement

That is frightfully unhygienic. I am surprised that Health and Safety haven't banned the practice already.

If they are using Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA, because Aqualung was Trademarked by Jacques Cousteau) there must be some form of CO2 scrubber incorporated within their winkles. As Carbon Capture and Storage technology has so far failed to capture or store any Carbon dioxide, then it is possible that punk turtles could find a home within Power Station cooling towers.

Stew, would you please provide a link for the fiery Volvo story? EV enthusiasts gloss over the issue of energy density. The highest-rated EV I can find is a Jag at 90kWh. My car’s fuel tank stores some six times that, and were it to release that energy in an accident would of course turn the car into a fireball. If ever EVs begin to rival the energy storage of regular cars the potential for accidental release will be there with similar consequences.

Incidentally, Elon Musk’s recent stunt with an electric lorry is relevant: A lorry fuel tank is about 20 times bigger than a car’s. A battery fire where a bloomin’ Megawatt-hour is suddenly released would be quite a challenge for the Fire Service!

A Volvo hybrid charging in a family drive suddenly burst into flames yesterday.
Last year same happened to a Smart electric also.

Gwen. I believe the Turtle's rudey bits are a sort of aqualung. One imagines sexual congress leaves the turtles out of breath. The mohican reminds me of Churchill's Westminster temporary hairdo.
