I used to live very near to what was the largest flock of parakeets in Surrey (many thousand birds - perhaps over 10,000; I think only the starling migration through Leicester Square was comparable). They chose to roost in riverside trees and a large farm orchard in a greenbelt location near to large suburban gardens, golf courses, woodland, riverside meadows, more farmland (vegetables, soft fruit and cereals) and open water. They're not really townies. I remember early one spring thinking that a very large ancient riverside oak had sprung into heavy leaf very quickly - only to realise as I got closer that it was in fact covered in parakeets on every available twig.

Tesla suspension failure is a recurring problem on all models:
http://teslabears.club/t/tesla-suspension-hall-of-shame/78/25

imho weight saving gone too far - aluminium arms/wishbones/rods at ball-joints & bushes is not thick enough.

Components look more like motor-sport where they'd be replaced after each race. Kudos to engineer who made Tesla drop idea to use rose-joints.

.

As with suspension, Tesla taking weight saving and cost cutting too far whilst not paying for strength/longevity. Bikers replace steel bolts with titanium; Al wheels with Mg.

imho fractured suspension arms due to Al alloy too thin and not enough Mn in AlSiMgMn alloy.

Schadenfreude – Media Plurality Laws Hit Trinity Mirror, Not Murdoch

Good. I said when announced CMA should review and block.

On Tesla, there are a lot of reports of major suspension failures here: http://teslabears.club/t/tesla-suspension-hall-of-shame/78/25
These appear to be different - and more serious - than the steering box issue.

More propaganda from the BBC:

"Britain powers on without coal for three days"

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-43879564

"Britain has not generated electricity from coal for more than three days - the longest streak since the 1880s.

The new record comes just days after the last record of 55 hours was set, National Grid said.

The coal-free period began on Saturday at 1000 BST and has continued into Tuesday afternoon.

Power generated from wind and gas dominated the mix of energy for users in England, Scotland and Wales.

Just last week the UK grid recorded its first two-day period without using any power from the fossil fuel, which the government has pledged to phase out by 2025.

Coal accounted for less than 7% of the power mix last year, according to official figures.

In April, 2017 Britain went its first full day without coal since the 19th century."

etc etc, followed by hand-wringing about the increasing reliance on "gas - another fossil fuel."

Not a mention of the number of days last winter (which was unusually long) when coal provided more than 20% of our electricity and that without it, the lights would probably have gone out. Not a hint of balance.
