Good grief, the BBC doesn’t half peddle some shite. This is from an How Western civilisation could collapse:The political economist Benjamin Friedman once compared modern Western society to a stable bicycle whose wheels are kept spinning by economic growth. Should that forward-propelling motion slow or cease, the pillars that define our society – democracy, individual liberties, social tolerance and more – would begin to teeter.
So individual liberties suffer when the economy performs badly, eh? How do we explain the Blair years, then? And we’re always being told how Obama rescued the economy, yet social tolerance deteriorated markedly. If we’re sticking to the bicycle analogy, this article has gotten off to a wobbly start.
Josh, I guess you know the other Josh of Gaslands I & II ?
There might be a cartoon in this - there's a certainly USD $5 going in from me.
Cheap at twice the price .... (actually donations are $1, $10 , $25 or more)
I was disappointed that Phelim and the crew couldn't work their contacts and the destination is Afghanistan and not Raqqa .... but scheduled air tickets aren't available I suppose. I bet that some military types might train him to parachute for free and donate the flight to Raqqa though.

It seems the conspiracy by the Green Blob continues, over promoting bad science, trying to ban and suppress good science, and all along, the taxpayers have to pay for this rubbish, and pay for the consequences on top.
Trump is disinvesting from the Green Blob, and May should do the same as part of Brexit.

Your link goes to a 2015 Guardian article with this headline: "UK's first 'poo bus' goes into regular service"
As a Country Bumpkin, I am well aware that not everything organic smells bright and beautiful. The idea of collecting natural methane makes sense for producing power in remote communities, both in the UK as well as abroad. The idea of powering a vehicle with it when there are better alternatives is wasteful.
Obviously in parts of Africa, biogas production has deprived agriculture of natural fertiliser, but at least it does not cause the choking atmosphere from internal cooking stoves, that the Green Blob force people to use, by depriving them of reliable fuel and energy.

But in that case, cycle lanes should not be constructed out of tarmac and other petrochemical derivatives, but purely of grass, organic mud, and deactivated composting toilet effluent sludge.
If it was really about pollution, wouldn't they offer you free foldup bikes to put in your diesel boot ?
