Any ornithologists here?

I saw a bird in garden I've never seen before. Black with a rust-red breast and similar size to a large black-bird iirc bill was black. Bit like a giant robin, but not as bright red.

What is it?

Interesting that Soames seems to think that his grandfather, WSC, would have been an ardent Remainer.. Can't say I agree with him. Seems like he (Soames) is cashing in on Oldman's award-winning film and trying to pray in aid this emotion for those who would give up their country - something WSC was not about to do. It makes my skin crawl to think Soames could stoop so low.

Austria and Hungary are at each others throats over the building to two nuclear power stations by Hungary. Pass the Popcorn.

As long as Putin gets away with annexation and incursions he will continue. It is a case of confront him now or he will continue to make a monkey out of the west especially the EU. The first thing is for the EU to make themselves independent of Russian oil and gas by buying oil,gas and coal from the USA and (when we really get fracking) from us. Sanctions have never worked; concrete action is required. If you really want to be provocative offer the Ukraine membership of NATO and push the Russians out. Don't hold your breath ! It is estimated the NATO armed forces are 10 times stronger than than the Russian. Negociation is better. Who was it said "Speak softly but carry a big stick" some US President I think.

Democrats, siding with the enemies of America over American citizens. Its just what they do.

Some of them get very rich out of their charitable work for needy foreign multi-millionaires.

GC,

Sanders can sit back and pretend he would have beaten Trump but reality is a bit of a bitch when it comes to dreams.

I presume that having your assets frozen must be uncomfortable.

After tormenting myself with a few more minutes of Claire Perry's speech at the Royal Meteorological Society I'm starting to think of her as Caroline Blucas.

There's apparently a few oligarchs who want to get rid of the US Magnitsky Act - which is one of the contact points with Fusion GPS.

The problem for anyone blaming "The Russians" for anything, is that there are wealthy and powerful groups of Russians with separate aims to Putin and the Kremlin.

Some Russians may have been investing/betting on a Clinton win, whilst others on a Trump win. Proving involvement of "The Russians", helping or sabotaging one camp, does not exclude others from doing the opposite. Some Russian money will have simply wanted a US President to oppose or support Putin, for very personal reasons.
