A. It catches fire under mysterious circumstances, and burns, leaving Taxpayers to pick up the bill, whilst all the grants and subsidies pay for holiday homes and expensive cars.

Batteries, excluding lead-acid, have been being piled up in warehouses for years as there is no profitable way to recycle them.

And it was when driving from Darlington to Barnard Castle last Thursday when Ms Goodman said the car ran out of charge 14 miles into the 17 mile journey – despite the car displaying a range of 22 miles when she set off.

“It was about 6pm and it had on the dial enough battery to do 22 miles but it conked out after 14 miles,” she said.

1. 6pm = headlights etc on
2. It's winter - cold
3. Labour, thus dim
4. Driver is woman - dim, dim

Thus heat will be on highest setting, rear window defog on all time, radio on, heavy braking as no anticipation....

"Sky News presenter having a Cathy Newman moment"
What point in the 9 min video ? at a glance I didn't spot a meltdown
but Frankly she does speak like a girl behind the cafe counter

2m 5 sec, she struggled to analyse what JRM said and ask next question. Also, she seemed to have no understanding of what JRM said on trade, tariffs and economics.

"girl behind the cafe counter" not allowed to touch till.

Struggling to understand the relevance of the dinner reference at the end? An attempt at a kill shot?

Irrelevant and 13 years ago. As you say, an attempt at a kill shot which failed miserably.

....that's [equivalent to] 86 million uneaten chickens) bought and costs households £660 million a year, almost £30 for every home in the country"

86M chickens = ~1.2 per person or ~3.6 per household Per Year - it's insignificant.

Damned expensive chickens though - £8.33 each.

Nissan given £10m to test whether home batteries/cars can feed grid
Labour MP complained about her Nissan leaf being sold as 125mile range , but it only ever gets 85
and it once ran out on her after 15 miles when the meter said 22 were available link

* Why has the press never printed such stories before ? *

Food waste NGO
"the waste equates to one in every ten chickens(that's 86 million uneaten chickens) bought and costs households £660 million a year, almost £30 for every home in the country"

24 million house holds in the UK probably spend £80/week each on food
Context is that waste is probably quite small ..compared to nature
