Looking at the SMMT data, February 2016 was the highest in a decade, it fell by 280 vehicles in 2017 and 2018 is the third highest since the low of 2009. So just car sales being car sales until proven otherwise.

From your link. This is the devastating evidence of the lack of evidence of Global Warming:

"This is the third time I have seen it in 30 years. It is nature, it happened before and it will happen again.'

Why are dead sea creatures washing up on UK beaches?

A combination of bad weather conditions is behind the huge numbers of sea creatures that have washed up on beaches.

Lots of photos and two videos here
Incredible pictures show beaches blanketed by millions of dead fish, crabs and...

Female Lobster in one pic has a large clutch of eggs

From my experience living 1/4 mile from sea for >10 years; post storm dead seafood on beach was not unusual. House was ~50ft above sea-level and starfish in garden after a storm, whilst not frequent, was not unusual.

"antifreeze" - many marine animals do have this, but only what is needed for normal habitat. It's one fish gene GM have used in crops.

ITV local news they have one of those central items they drop in
Matt Price..went Plastic blah, blah
..."if we continue dumping plastic in the sea at the present rate, measured by weight, there will be more plastic than fish by 2050."
..Hmmm that's a claim pulled out of orifice ..rather than robust science
..Anyway they then went to the "waste to heat centre at Lincoln" (don't call it an incinerator !)
"this burns waste at super high temperature"
... so finally media people do mention that plastic can be burn, but not in a super emphatic way.
