With tax changes turning against company cars, employers were able to offer car schemes , advanced by money lenders and car dealers to their employees. These schemes are not restricted to those that actually need a car for their work. With interest rates so low, for so long, it was great for buyers, dealers and manufacturers. The economy has done well out of it.
