My university students union wanted to make Winnie Mandela chancellor. She wouldn't be able to give out degrees but her sister might pop in every now and then. This was prior to the football supporters club scandal. For the first time in history the enginering students turned out to vote en mass. Sir John Harvey Jones was reselected by a 95% (ish) landslide win.

This country doesn't have a litter problem, it has a lout problem.
It has both. Louts - the product of the state removing all personal & family responsibility with "the state will do it". Irresponsibly and litter is one visible consequence.
State response - more state intervention and never admit "didn't work, we'll reverse/stop".
I call it Socialist EUisation of UK.

Hans Rosling: "journalists in prison, girls not getting an education cos of their gender"
Which are the countries which jail journalists and don't educate females?
Not the West he attacks, but those socialist & RoP countries his left PC ideology induces three monkeys syndrome; same as the feminists with Telford & Refugees Rapeugees Welcome

It is not often that I relish reporting the news of someone’s death, but I am absolutely prepared to make an exception in this particular case.
C4 News tonight hero-worshipped her, not a hint at her crimes, brutality & embezzlement.

"Germany’s green energy shift is more fizzle than sizzle
Despite spending billions, it is falling behind other European countries."
https://www.politico.eu/article/germany-climate-change-green-energy-shift-is-more-fizzle-than-sizzle/
"Germany’s enormously expensive Energiewende green energy transformation is sputtering. The numbers tell the story.
Despite spending about €150 billion and years of political effort to scrap nuclear and fossil fuels and switch to renewables like wind and solar, Germany is expected to fall short on pretty much all its national and EU emission reduction and clean energy targets for 2020.
High power prices, continued coal dependency and a “poor CO2 emissions record” mean Germany is falling behind other countries in shifting away from fossil fuels, according to McKinsey’s new global Energy Transition Index. In Europe, 11 countries including Sweden, Austria, Denmark, the U.K. and France do better in cutting coal dependency and greening their energy systems."
Etc, etc, etc.

One of the urban myths circulating ex-pat life in the Gulf (Arabian or Persian - take your pick) years ago was that loads of good finds had been drilled and capped -with no info being fed back to confuse the natives about what was under their feet.

#EndOfOilHaha Bahrain has a huge new shale oil/gas discovery

Stewgreen: re your tweet about OVO: Thank you. The ASA are not doing their job with regard to their motto: "Legal, decent, honest and truthful".

Nobody knows where the €150 billion has gone. Secondhand wind turbines and solar panels have no scrap value.
