BBC wants stories to be true
"Pressure is building on embattled US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) chief Scott Pruitt, who is embroiled in allegations of ethics violations.
Mr Pruitt is already under scrutiny for renting an apartment with ties to a fossil fuels lobbyist.
He is also accused of bypassing the White House to secure big pay rises for two long-time staff members."
.. they don't seem huge allegations to me

@tedcruz tweeted support
"This is compelling.
Why do Obama and his media cronies want so badly to drive @EPAScottPruitt out of office?
@realDonaldTrump is too cagey to be duped and bullied by the Obama groupies. "

Steve Milloyn also good tweet of support

@stewgreen

Missing? - that's a tad weird - it was I now see absolutely ancient (in Internet terms) .... but nontheless it popped up as the main eureferendum .com page and since I clear local cache regularly and local search history etc. I don't instantly see how an 8 year old post popped up.... I didn't check the posting date on a first reading....

But I've (re)learned something - read carefully.... and Richard North isn't reliably prescient ....

Durect racial language and calling someone a "vacuous dwarf"

stewgreen, I've known for ages about the ice Lake Agassiz flood that was supposed to have triggered the Younger Dryas when it suddenly emptied into the Atlantic. What I didn't know was that there was a second event from lake Missoula that emptied into the Pacific.

Rod Liddle: So being deemed a racist is worse than kids dying is it, Mayor Khan?

...Heard anything from Black Lives Matter? Nope, me neither. Maybe they should rename themselves Black Lives Don’t Matter Unless Whitey Is To Blame.

What about the Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan? He has said he’s “very concerned” about it all. Terrific.

How about you do something about it, you vacuous dwarf? When Khan was running for office he said two things.

First, he wanted to make London the safest city on earth. How’s that going, Sadiq?

Second, he wanted to clamp down on stop and searches by the Old Bill because they were racist.

They targeted black and Asian people, he said.

Then, just a few weeks ago, the Mayor had to completely change tack and announce police would “significantly increase” these same stop and search powers amidst a rising tide of violence.

And there you have it. The police say this violence has escalated because they are no longer allowed to stop and search individuals when they think a crime might be about to be committed...

Local elections are coming up. And teachers are planning to hand out leaflets screeching about “the cuts”.

If you see one, spit on his shoes and pour coffee down the back of his neck.

If they weren’t so bloody useless we might have school leavers able to spell their own names and count past five.

And the leftie political indoctrination in classes is astonishing. A teacher at a school near us informed her pupils that she “didn’t know much about politics”.

She then went on to say that Nigel Farage was horrible, Donald Trump ghastly and everybody who voted for Brexit was a racist.

I just wish some kid had said: “You were dead right in your first statement, you pig-ignorant, hollow-headed old bint. Now, teach us something useful, for once.”...

Hasty UK Putin its foot in it

Hate to say I told you so. But we should have been a lot cannier dealing with the Russians.

As soon as Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia were poisoned with a nerve agent, we blamed Vladimir Putin.

Now Porton Down has finished its tests on the nerve agent. And it says it cannot pin the blame on Russia.

And Putin is laughing his head off in private. And threatening to take us to the International Court in the Hague...

Rod hits nail on head again :)

Corbyn's equivalent of Bad Al Campbell (Seumas Milne?) might understandably have had a Malcolm Tucker moment?

That said - the black comedy of errors that is the present Labour Party does not need a laughter track.
