What's wrong with having an elected second chamber? Better than politicians appointing cronies and moneyed supporters, and way better than a chamber populated with descendants of illegitimate children of former monarchs. An elected chamber with the same restriction in a formalised form as the lords and elected on a porportionl representation would be my choice.seems to

"Enoch was Right". Early yesterday Radio 4 ( 6 am or thereabouts) had a item in which they had managed to find the daughter of a black woman who was a Conservative supporter, had publically endorsed Enoch's speech at the time, and was photographed with him.
The daughter said her mother must have been coerced to say what she did.
