Yuppy revolt predicted against overbearing government action to ban single-use plastic stirrers. Nero, Starbucks and Pret-a-mange in central London's financial district all report massive raids upon their supplies of the much treasured items. "Like serviettes, we have to limit stirrers one to a customer". There are scattered reports from outlying parts of London, like Westminster, of stirrer raids. A spokesperson, who demanded anonymity, said that the forthcoming ban was unnecessary and would be resisted. "It is not right that those who, all their working life have been able to enjoy the subtle taste of plasiciser when they scoop up the remaining froth from their expresso will now be denied this privilege -all for a few stupid penguins". Pollsters predict massive losses in Tory constituencies in forthcoming London elections. Posters on plastic sticks already have appeared in parts of Kensington (some in Russian) upon this sensitive issue.

To all those dreadfully afeared of losing access to those essential life-affirming items, now at risk because of intemperate and irresponsible Tory government action, I have very good news from my podiatrist -- detailed plans are afoot ( pun intended) to design, manufacture, and distribute (no doubt firstly to trained professionals) wooden cotton buds. This naturally will put at risk ever more of Virginia's forests, but perhaps Drax could be put to use in burning the used items instead of those magical wood chips that are as good as coal. The ear wax will increase the calorific content. Refuse pickup practices will need to be overhauled with the distribution of special used-cotton-bud-receptacles (UCBRs). Don't tell me the Tory government isn't innovative in creating new job opportunities.
Hear the cry - "Britain leads the way in being wooden!"

Pcar, gc

that electrolytic corrosion thing - sometimes the manufacturer just doesn't care. I've lost count of the number of Discos and Rangies that I've seen scrapped d/t mostly avoidable corrosion problems. Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit vans are notorious for using thin, poor quality steel inadequately painted. Corrosion on Land Rovers is a disgrace. My personal experience in the early 1980s of seeing Lancias disintegrate in under 2 years from new is something I shan't forget - the door bottoms were bubbling in less than a year.

Many modern ships have weight saving aluminium upper works on a steel hull. - a selection of polymer gaskets, "tophat" plastic fixing sleeves and washers are deployed - connections are tightly controlled.

"Try it"? - I don't have a boat or Landy!

"Brembo are well respected..." - Yes, along with AP

"Do ABS systems.. require non conductivity" - Yes in modern ones, sensors are now in-hub active.

"Copper pastes" - On brake components deprecated over 10 years ago.

"Duralac is found on..." - Brembo B-Quiet is new product launched Feb 2018. Share it with yottie/landy friends and they can try.

OP was an FYI not a debate - don't be so negative; use, review and feedback - OK?

Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) [A Quango] Warns Voter I.D. Plans Discriminatory to Trans People, Minorities

Rules set to be trialled across Watford, Bromley, Gosport, Swindon, and Woking at local elections in May, with a view to rolling them out countrywide to combat fraud, will see voters required to bring identification documents such as a driver’s licence if they do not bring their polling card

How is not bringing polling card discriminatory?

How white liberals really view black voters
Are voter ID laws racist and suppress the black vote?

.
EHRC, PHE & DfID are prime candidates for closure & none redeployed - ~£25 Billion saved.
