The BBC never publicise the dangers of geothermal energy:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-44215651
"Lava from the Kilauea volcano in Hawaii has crept towards a geothermal power plant, prompting workers to shut down facilities amid fears of deadly gases.

Workers removed flammable substances and the plant's deep underground wells have been filled with cold water. They will be plugged with iron on Tuesday.

If lava flows into the wells before they are plugged, it could release lethal hydrogen sulphide gas."

What happens if you pump cold water into deep underground wells adjacent to volcanic lava eruptions?

The duel standards and hypocracy of this Government is unbelievable. If they want to do something constructive they should roll back the use of wood pellet and scrap the subsidies. I do not know how practical it would be but a good start would to convert Drax to burn gas and get fracking.

Is everybody cutting down trees for firewood to burn in their woodburning stoves to keep warm in winter, before bans are introduced, whilst power stations are subsidised to import wood chips across the Atlantic, leaving US and Canadian forest floors short of natural organic matter?

Give me a chance to scan the online news and blogs and I will gladly jump on my soap box. I see Dr. Peter Ridd has reach his funding target.

Why have "the usual suspects" gone silent? (Nothing since 10.16pm). Is there a hit-squad out there eliminating BH regulars? Should I bolt my door and hide in the loft?

When they dismantled the protest camp they failed to recycle their detritus, instead they built huge bonfires and burnt their waste, including plastics, sofas and wooden shacks.
The pollution and toxins erupting into our clean air could be seen for miles around.

Sofas - as we've seen from GreenFail tower, burning oil based products without sufficient oxygen produces prodigous amounts of thick heavey black smoke*. Did the anti-frackers add some tyres to show solidarity with their Palestinian comrades?

Huge bonfires? Piffle these are huge bonfires 1., 2. , 3., 4.

* We knew this before - ships laying smoke in wars.

Channel 4 News has lost the plot - tonight a special edition: Debate on RoI Abortion Referendum.

You what? Why? RoI is a foreign country, does C4 think it's still in UK?

No surprise, pro-abortion message pushed hard with those against depicted as Neanderthal deplorables.

Most of RoI can watch UK C4, BBC etc. C4 trying to influence how the electorate of a foreign country vote?
