I liked this comment on the Politico article about the Gilets Jaunes in the EU quarter of Brussels:
"By protesting in the EU quarter, the Yellow Jackets are barking up the wrong tree.
Of what use is complaining about high taxes to someone who barely pays tax?"
stewgreen, I've searched the BBC website and they don't seem to be reporting it at all, which is rather shameful. Politico have it here:
"Police van set ablaze as Yellow Jackets protests hit Brussels’ EU quarter
Demonstrators block roads near European Union institutions."

an inversion that works for me.....
If Theresa May had been half as aggressive, disdainful and Machiavellian to EU bureaucrats as she is to the British people, the EU would be paying US to leave and apologising for any inconvenience.

Google are turning the political handle - many Google Apps are now popping a dialog box on "app open" with a link to their Article 13 screeds...
Android also popping political kerrapp/BS (as you noted much of it GREEN tinged ) into the notifications list - sometimes for apps that I thought I'd disabled notifications for (several "updates" ago...)
I'm seriously starting to wonder about ditching Android and am looking at Tizen - but I think Samsung are not the sort of partner I care for after owning quite a few of their phones with tech issues over the years. There is a gap in the market for a handset maker who nukes all the BS stuffed into the present generation of phones - I sincerely doubt I'm alone in getting annoyed at the intrusiveness of the present raft of OSs and the main handset makers and I'm willing to pay a premium for what I want.
quote : Any mention by the BBC reporters of riots in Brussels today, in the style of Gilets Jaunes, against the EU headquarters over fuel prices, and cost of living ?
Can’t find any mention so far, but they are occurring, with at least two riot vans torched so far.
