Jun 29, 2015 A few weeks back I asked readers to vote for my local hockey club on the Mars Milk Fund website. The club is running a campaign to raise funds for a badly needed new pitch, and the fund could potentially give us £1000. With 24 hours still to go we are in third place, so if anyone didn't quite get round to doing it last time, now is your moment! And your spouse's moment! And your children's moment!

Like Mike I had reservations about just voting in support of the Bish's local hockey club without doing some research. However, it seems that neither the Vatican nor Whitehouse appear to have issued any guidance on this very important issue. So I just decided to vote in support and hope that I did the right thing. .

Hi Bish , sorry i'm quite late reading this article but just want to add a cautious note. I was on the committee of my local village miners welfare when we asked Mars to help us[ financially ,] to build new changing rooms and other facilities for our football and cricket teams. They gave us a considerable sum without which we would not have been able to take on the project but , and although we are grateful for their help ,they basically dictated to us everything from the design of the new facilities to who could use them and the very nature of the various sports teams for example age and sexual diversity, so when asking for their money make sure your happy with the small print. cheers and all the best with your project
