Cancelled Curry
Jun 15, 2015 Climate: Sceptics
Andrew Neil was due to record an interview with Judy Curry today. I gather on the grapevine that because of time restrictions this will not now happen.
Which is a pity, but I guess it couldn't be helped.

Before her talk to the Lords, I hope someone has warned her about the tendency for some people to get 'last minute' room changes and broken projectors etc which might detract from their presentation. Jolly bad luck for skeptics, that.
I saw Judith on Stossel last night. An hour-long show about Green Tyranny. Worth looking up on the fox website where it will be downloadable soon
Good old BBC, as reliable as ever.
That's a shame. A missed opportunity for the BBC to provide a balancing view to the single sided items that are the recent staple of the Today programme.
Geoff Chambers reports another mysterious cancellation, of a talk by French climate sceptic Benoît Rittaud who had been due to appear on Radio France.
"Time restrictions". An obvious lie; at the very least, somebody with the power to inject time restrictions into the schedule just there, thought the interview, with its inevitable revealing of scientific non-consensus, would be inappropriate for the masses to hear, leading up to Paris. It would be educational to know just who injected the "time restrictions", and caused them to cancel the interview entirely.
But I Am a Defier Now, so I don't trust any media excuses anymore. Or any climate scientist, Curry included.
You don't think that the BBC would allow this do you?
No matter what the excuse, it was never going to happen.
She's too dangerous to Manfred Mann's Earth Band.
Judith Curry says that she is not sure why it was cancelled.
Perhaps the BBC decided it was against their policy on climate change.
A pity does not say it strongly enough. Desperately bad.

They gave the UK green MP mins to spout her crap on the news today. No riposte allowed.
I guess Andrew Neil would have a basic script prepared lying around somewhere. If only Judith Curry could have a copy I'm sure it would make an interesting post.
The BBC seems to have had very frequent alarmist pieces on climate change in the run-up to the Paris event. I do not remember one sceptical contribution. The Corporation has obviously abandoned any pretence of impartiality following the way Lawson demolished the case put forward by Hoskins in the early months of the year and the outrage expressed by the green community that Lawson was given air time.
At the time, the BBC argued that Lawson was not qualified to comment on an equal basis with Hoskins. Judith Curry is recognised as a world expert. Sadly, the BBC has had to cancel her interview.
Does the BBC's Encyclical on Global Warming over rule all Human Rights, Equality Rights, Rights to Free Speech, etc that the BBC chooses to celebrate? (but only when nothing applies to the BBC)
"Cancelled Curry"? that will never get you a job at the Tabloids Bish.
How about "Curry off the Menu"
This sort of behaviour is something to keep in mind when the future of the BBC licence fee is decided.
Two words "Bob" and "Ward"
I checked Andrew Neil's Twitter feed and found BW had waded in when Neil tweeted asking for questions to Curry, and Curry quickly addressed his points ..conversation
I guess someone may have then made a quick phonecall to Neil's bosses ..causing his appointment book to get filled.
-- Cancelled !!! How many freaking studios does the BB have worldwide ?... They interview everyone else "down the line", why can't they do the same for Curry ?
One cannot have failed to notice that, during the second bout of televised debates prior to the election, with Andrew Neil in the seat, when there was the issue of climate change was to be addressed, a “minder” was provided, in the shape of Roger Harrabin, who fielded the ACC questions, even managing to get a reference to “contrarians” into his comments.
Andrew Neil is a bit of a loose cannon in the ... erm ... canon of the BBC on the AGW front; perhaps there was no-one with Harrabin’s credentials who could be expected to “manage” Neil during the discussion?
ah Lord Hawhaw-rabin didn't have TIME to babysit AF Neil's interview !
yep @RRyou got it mate that could be what is meant by "because of time restrictions".
Michael Mann was probably too busy to provide the "balance" for the interview :)
Mailman
Cancelled?
"Pulled" more like.
Oh no it's all a conspiracy.....
Again....
