Hoorah for the GWPF
Jul 19, 2014 GWPF
Following on from jamesp's suggestion in the comments yesterday on the GWPF-Roger Harrabin post that we should have an identifying badge supporting the GWPF, suggestions are welcome for the symbol - just for fun, while the Bishop is away. Surely one of Josh's cartoons would be ideal.
I'll weigh in as a start - how about this one, with "Support the GWPF" included somewhere? TM.

What about the all important fluffy toy?
Maybe a fluffy Polar Bear. But hopefully not a student from Eton
Badges are ok and I would surely want one, unfortunately are quite often pinned to the other jacket in the wardrobe. But a car sticker, now that fuel guzzler goes everywhere.
As Martyn's suggests, car or bumper stickers are the most effective.
Seen by hundreds everyday; and worth overtaking a Leaf for, to maximise the 'wind up' (no pun intended) capability.
A yellow star perhaps?
Mailman
I bet fenbeagle could come up with a sticker/badge.
One of my colleagues has a V8 Land-Rover with a sticker about warming the planet single-handed. Not that it seems to have had much effect.
Still, nice to get mentioned in dispatches (thanks TM). Perhaps my original suggestion of a 'discreet' badge was misplaced.. :-)
Agree about the Polar Bear. Since their numbers have been increasing in recent years, one can only assume that they approve of GW.
Or a dead bird by a windmill. Backed up by a website called the 'Real Society for the Protection of Birds', especially as the royal one seems so hopeless at it!
What about the GWPF logo? Proceeds to the Foundation (free to members?)
A yellow badge with GWPF maybe?
How about " GWPF Facts not Computer Fiction !"
How about the "You can't Trust the BBC on Climate" T-shirts ?
On the back "BBC Eco-warrior team evangelising for our Green Religion"
A sticker ' "Keep the home fires burning - you're going to need them"
I like the concept! How much to send badges to the Lords and Royalty of the Realm?
About that particular Josh cartoon; I don't know... I think the badge would look like a sort of pasty on certain people. Not the immediate reaction desired.
That and any sort of allusion to ecocide by wind turbines coupled with a support GWPF wording would just backfire.
A support GWPF badge signifying science, education or communication would be best. I can't bring one to mind but I'm sure Josh has some poster candidates that fit the bill.
My apologies for nit-picking what is a very good idea Bishop.
The GWPF logo would make a good badge, I feel, and bumper stickers and T-shirts could expand on the theme, with plenty of scope for pithy remarks...
