The lowlife clearances

West Sussex County Council is going to court on Monday, seeking to have the detritus on the verges outside the Cuadrilla site cleared.

West Sussex County Council has confirmed that the High Court is to hear its application for a possession order for the B2036 London Road, Balcombe, on Monday (September 16).

Appropriate notices about the hearing are today (Friday) being posted on the B2036 so that the people concerned are aware.

I still think a mobile Job Centre with a few on-board benefit fraud investigators would be quicker & more efficient.

Foxgoose-

Maybe add into that mix a mobile shower-room?

I DO hope they take their litter home with them...

Solar & wind-power heated, naturally.

@confused

and some soap

@sherlock1

they're called children, only animals have litters - ohhh! I get it now

I like your choice of the word detritus - defined as 'waste or debris of any kind'. That sums them up nicely.

Sep 13, 2013 at 1:59 PM | Registered CommenterPhillip Bratby

soap may be a step too far...they are soap dodgers after all. If they get wind of soap it might start a stampede, injuring any nearby locals.

These "Government Artists" (drawing the Dole) should be made to clean up their own detritus, returning the land they illegally occupied to its original state.

Then they should all be found jobs in an environmentally valuable service- rubbish collection.

@Confused (& others)
You want to scare them away in terror?
Now that is unkind.

Get under cover policemen to breed with the females........

Sep 13, 2013 at 3:23 PM | Unregistered CommenterAlecM

That is an interesting point, Don (Sep 13, 2013 at 2:47 PM); will they be concerned about the damage to the environment and habitats that they have caused, and will they make any effort to correct that damage?

I suspect that the answer to both parts of the question is, “NO!”

Anyone want to bet on the odds that a large part of the litter that is left behind will be plastic?

Verges on insanitary.

@Pharos
"Verges on insanitary."
Gotta be, at least, the QOTW.
Superb!

Good to see the contamination cleaned up. Hopefully they can be sent the bill, and their trust funds seized.

West Sussex County Council should apply to the court for costs and the invoice should be sent to registered charities, political parties or other prominent soap dodgers that publicly called for these individuals to turn up at the site.

Funny how occupying the verge prompts court action, but occupying a private field without permission prompts nothing at all.

Sep 13, 2013 at 6:38 PM | Registered Commenterjamesp

are you sure about that, jamesp? Doesn't it depend on the landowner and what he/she/they want to use the field for?

Bish, I'm on your side. And your wavelength!. I suggest that when you call the protesters "lowlife" and, by inference, encourage your followers to write about soap, dole fraud etc. you are giving our enemies potential ammunition.

We will be called uncaring, cruel, elitist, middle class (as a swear phrase). There will be decent (deluded but decent) people who will be easily identifiable as upstanding members of their local church saying that people who say such nasty things about them must be "baddies".

Keep the moral high ground. It's valuable!

Aren't these people supposed to be environmentalists?
