You can read about Dana's latest Twitterings on Twitter here, and here at WUWT and also at Keith Kloor's here. Quite a fun and, as Roger Pielke Jr says, educational read.
They do wind, solar, hydroelectric, cogeneration, geothermal, natural gas drilling and extraction, combined-cycle, waste-to-energy, and electric transmission projects (not fracking). They are quite big on the wind energy side, and are fighting to keep wind tax credits alive. Who are the "enemies" in that fight? the American Energy Alliance, a Washington, D.C.-based industry group linked to petrochemical interests that promote expanded drilling for fossil fuels, including in the protected Arctic National Wildlife Refuge in Alaska, and approval of the proposed XL pipeline to bring Canadian tar sands oil to refineries in Texas and the Gulf Coast.
Note also TT's bottom line is getting hurt of late. What by? the industry faces a glut of cheap natural gas from hydrofracking, uncertainty over federal support and dwindling financing.
Obviously I am not suggesting anything as crass as Dana being a PR employee of TT, looking to change world's opinion so they can earn ever more. But just as obviously, the guy should have giant disclaimers plastered above each and every one of his climate/energy words.
Pointman - I was just about to put up a link to your article, but if you snooze you lose. A great piece as always - thank you.
After reading it this morning in bed (yes I know), I was moved to make my comments on his Grace's Unthreaded at 10:13 am this morning - thoughts I have had for a while.
I would also like to point all the Bish's commenters to the piece by Jonathan Abbott, one of the commenters on your article today -
ps I am still looking for any of the innumerable Dana-made blogs and articles that could be construed as damaging/hurting/hitting/unfavourably touching TT's business. If anybody knows of any, please provide a link.
When it gets started I expect Greenpeace will have their boat down there pretty sharpish, if the Russians have let them get back. To lose one boat may be regarded as a misfortune. To lose two looks like carelessness.
Dana a classic case of a little man made big by circumstances , but in the end always remaining little. As an intellectually light weight he mistakes bluster and certain as being the same as good science because he likes what he sees .
Dana is inexplicably running second behind Lewandowsky in Pointman's end-of-year poll. I hope people will vote for him there to ensure he gets the accolade he deserves.
As Elton John pointed out, Sorry seems to be the hardest word.
It's fun to watch Nutty getting a roasting though. As someone who, in Keith Kloor's felicitous phrase, has 'sharp elbows', he seems unduly sensitive when they are employed against him.

Pointman
TT ain't just Oil&Gas...TT is all energy generation possibilities that haven't been targeted by Dana's and SkS's scorn:

Excellent.

In the comments, Dana gets attacked by ... Wikidiot Connolley.
Dana is a lightweight fool and given his track record, a great asset for the sceptical side.
I hope he doesn't get fired.
Might I suggest an addition to the lexicon?
A circular reasoning combination of virulent, rhetorical ignorance = a "Danado"
Good one Josh... I was wondering if you'd toon it when I read it at wuwt, I had the title as..
"Storm in a D-cup Nuccitelli makes tit of himself again"
lol
He'll love this: the world's biggest "ship""Shell's record-breaking Prelude takes to the water"It will be drilling for gas off the Australian coast.
Every six or seven days a huge tanker will dock beside the platform and load up enough fuel to heat a city the size of London for a week.
When it gets started I expect Greenpeace will have their boat down there pretty sharpish, if the Russians have let them get back. To lose one boat may be regarded as a misfortune. To lose two looks like carelessness.
Apparently, others take an even faster route to publicity http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/asia/whaling-activist-sunk-own-boat-as-a-publicity-stunt-2101010.html
This has to sting...

Dana Nuccitelli:"in my mind he’s forfeited any right to an apology"
William Connolley:"No. That’s utter bullshit" & "..Man up, and stop making excuses"
Did RPjr date then dump Dana's sister or something? This is so far out there that it has to be personal.
Frosty 2:37pm - very funny!!!!
PJB 1:56pm
"Might I suggest an addition to the lexicon?

I would think for circular reasoning an palindrome is needed, so maybe = a O'Danado
O Danny Boy the hype the hype is failing
PJB,
Excellent, we now have two new things to throw around with wanton abandon, John Cooks law and Danado! :)

Mailman

The drama makes for good entertainment for some people. The world at large, however, is yawning.
