Reader Simon Barnett has made the Secret Santa data searchable online. See here.

If he's trying to be anonymous, putting a by-line on the search page isn't the way to go about it.

Edit: never mind.

P.S. Typo on the search page - should be "string delimiting"

Links from the search results don't work for me -- win7 & chrome.

Oops! Google Chrome could not connect to 109.234.202.250:801

Donna is now receiving demands from the IPCC legal counsel to stop all of this leak stuff.

Kudos and thanks to Simon for this facility, but:

Searching for 'bollocks' finds 419 results.
Searching for 'climate bollocks' finds 69 results.

I find it difficult to believe that IPCC reviewers would be so candid about the contents of the various draft documents.

I can see the search results (e.g. for "wind energy") but cannot connect to the links supplied.
Using IE 10 in normal as well as in compatibility view => same result

Look suspicious. A search of this site shows no previous appearance of a 'Simon Barnett'.

The server is severing the connection, so it looks like a performance issue.

Same for me. Reports search results, but the links go nowhere.

Probaby a government/IPCC site to collect deniers' IP addresses. Smiley, I hope.

As lapogus it seems a little buggy - I did the bollocks search and it managed to open a few of the docs - none of them contained the word when I searched inside them.

Good effort though.

I'll be interested in all of the papers that are on topics such as redistribution of wealth, poverty reduction, getting women working so that they have fewer babies, natural resource management, equity, justice, global governance...

Search does not work. Suspicious, don't go there.

Tried the 'bollocks' test on the FOIA Climategate searchable database for comparison and it passes with no results returned.

However, 'balls' returns an email to Mike Hulme.

This time the search works; I received a number of working links on the keywords "wind energy". One of the documents returned was IPCC WGII AR5 Chapter 10. It contained no real information, though. A very bureaucratic-style doc.

Hiya --

Firstly, there was some firewall weirdness earlier in the day that has now been resolved. I've also been tweaking the code to iron out some "undocumented features". Apologies to those of you who caught errors / weirdness.

Note: I've just done an update that allows you to search the files on your local machine if you already downloaded them - instructions of the search page.

@lapogus - yep, hands up - twas a bug in the negation code. Should be resolved now. Sorry about that and thanks for positive feedback :).

@John Silver - C'mon dude, show some love - I'm doing this during coffee breaks ... it's entirely legit but I've rushed to get this into the hands of sceptic community as soon as possible. If it takes another day to iron out the kinks (and I think/hope I now have) please just bear with me, mkay?

@Rhoda Klapp - your privacy is assured at this end ;)

@HaroldW - nope - delimination is a valid conjugation of deliminate :).

@John Shade - Hey! I've been here, just not had anything useful to contribute till now!

Simon -
OK, thanks, that's a new word by me!

Only the paranoid survives
... and then only if he's paranoid enough!

Just call this AR5 (arse) GATE.

I'm only half as paranoid as I should be.
