David Holland has posted some very interesting remarks in the Comments Section at Climate Audit concerning this topic (7/26/2010).

It's pretty cool over there on the Holland thread. David and Steve are discovering that even though Muir Russell disallowed Holland's submission, he let Briffa and Osborn respond to him and they did so in duplicitous fashion. Believe it or not, some of Holland's submission is documented in the B&O response.
Yesterday I thought that Briffa was signalling that Susan Solomon had deceived him. Today, I'm not so sure. Briffa still seems deep in the deception game himself.
