They tell us recycling is good for the environment.

I thought grass was a CO2 sink, not that anybody who understands the science should worry about a tiny increase of plant food.

Have you noticed that comments are no longer allowed to Ms, Gray's articles? Bless her, she makes me laugh!

I liked this expression in one of the comments: "You can take a horticulture but you can't make her think".

The grass is always greener on the other sceptical side.

I haven't watered my lawn in about 5 years. Alas for the alarmists it's still green. Must be all the rain...

Please cut LuLu some space she can be a wonderful source of light relief and occasionally she does allow comments.

Today she has: - "Michael Mann says hockey stick should not have become 'climate change icon'"
pop along and leave your views.

One of the comments, from latimeralder has a nice little plug for The Bishop and his book, concluding with:-

"It may be a pure coincidence that Mann makes his observations that the Hockey Stick furore was overblown in the same month that Montford's book become easily available in the US.

Or it may not"

Oh dear, it will soon be considered equally as bad to have a lawn as to be a GW sceptic....

"Lawns contribute to climate change," Saffier told IPS.

I have to tell the poor dear that we’ve had water meters in the Isle of Wight for at least 20 years, yet our lawns remain perfectly green most of the time. I have a turf supplier nearby, and he rarely irrigates.

My lawns were sown 26 years ago, and have never been watered and even after a long dry spell are still green also I have planted over 100 trees some of them are over 40ft high, and
they have not been watered either the world has become more bountious thanks a little extra
C02 in the atmosphere, incidently one of the country's largest tomato growers injects C02 into
its glasshouse complex and improves yield by 30%.
