Spy Blog reports on the allocation of House of Commons Select Committee chairs to the different parties. Both the Environment and Science/Tech positions are to be filled by Conservatives.

Please let it not be Tim Yeo.

Why not? Maybe the man could bring to bear his personal experience of the effects that uncontrolled anthropogenic emissions can have upon the issues of an ever-increasing population?

I do not understand the interest here and at Richard North with the UK government ministers and heads.

We no doubt, had very brilliant minds and thinkers in the government in the UK for the past 10 years but what was done or could be done about the relentless advance of idiocies such as anthropogenic global warming?

Absolutely nothing.

Shub

It is possible that the new select committee might want to take a proper look at CRU.

Bishop,

I noticed your reply to Shub above. I'm afraid that when I was told to duck by my wife that I didn't react quickly enough to avoid the detritus from the flying porcines.

Peter Lilley would be a good choice.
1 He has a Cambridge physics degree - so presumably he knows something about science;
2 He is one of the handful of MPs who voted against the Climate Change Act.

I hope that Graham Stringer MP continues to be a Labour representative as the sole dissentient voice on the CRU report.
