Politicians drawn in to FoI coverup

The scandal over the illegal blocking of FoI requests by scientists at the Climatic Research Unit has deepened somewhat, with the Mail reporting that the Defence Minister, Bob Ainsworth, used his statutory powers to help prevent disclosure of the work of the former Met Office Chief Scientist on the grounds that for the public to see it would prejudice Britain’s relationship with an international organisation.

Given that the disclosure is expected to reveal corruption within that international organisation, it does rather start to look as if Bob Ainsworth has managed to get himself implicated in the cover up. I don't suppose he has thought it through for himself - he is probably taking his officials' word for it.

I don't suppose people will forgive him though.

Ainsworth is yet another brainless, ventriloquist's dummy, minister.

He and Darling were both members of the IMG, a group which openly supported the armed struggle of the IRA against British troops.

I.E. They advocated the murder of our soldiers by terrorists.

Nice guys.

So Aimless has managed another cock-up, has he?
Unsurprising. He has "previous" at being a dingbat.
Nice for it to have reached up into gummint though.

Looks like this is a matter that ought to be raised with the ICO and if he will not act, then take it to the Information Tribunal. Perhaps Mr Holland needs some help with such an appeal?

Bob Ainsworth will now be the fox to the Mails hounds in the run up to the election. There is a scent of blood in the air.

This just gets worse and worse as far as I read this. My God. Who are these people? A MoD official does not want to upset Who? really. He was given direction to do this by someone higher up the chain of command. This is world wide... Everywhere the light is shined just more cockroaches running for cover. Science, Govt. Military, Justice, Finance, NASA, GISS, UN... it looks to a new observer that this is the real pandemic facing the world... Who are all these fools and traitors really working for? It does not seem to be the unwashed people of the world. We are just good for taxes it seems. Stakeholders perhaps? We the People, need to clean houses around the world to remove the smell of death. We are really being threatend by people; not BY, the Planet Earth. I said this in anger back in late November. WE the People, should use the Iranian method. Close all publicly owned facilities and take six months to get a handle of what has been going on within our institutional world. Seize hard drives, no fires. Let the retired experts in these different areas review. Lots of people would offer to help sort things out. Review for six months to a year... A world wide bank holiday. No one moves or is kicked out of homes we all get fed and help those around us in need. Start from a new set of books-fair to the people where they work & live, not the World-Bankers and their shills. Take money form the speculators for a change. We need a break after all of the "stupid" we are finding out about.. We may end up like the Germans after the first world war were most business was barter using cigs... It still would be better than what our leaders seem to want for us. It would not bother me to face an unknown like this rather than the one our leaders see for us. How about you? A world run by moral people instead of "Smart" ones. Ask yourselves, why are we training lawyers and politicians about ethics? Because they don't, have a moral compass. Sad but it seems true. I am not being strident here. My picture is just a cell phone mob of public builings, here and there everyday something new and non-violent. Just hang out make the leaders uncomfortable in a crowd of unwashed folks. Works somehow for me anyway...

Sounds like a new round of FOIA petitions are in order.

Met Office is an executive agency of the MOD. I think questions ought to be asked as to how an eco-imperialist and former WWF CEO, Robert Napier, was appointed to head up the Met Office. No sooner had Napier been appointed than he re-directed the Met Office into climate change advocacy - this is a matter of public record and I can provide the details, if required.

For starters, check out about Napier here:
