Well, it has its moments...

The funny thing nobody noticed is the lost the entire roof on the left half.

Also, can you give an English translation?

A relative of mine is trying to remove the global warming off his roof, because the weight of it is pulling off the gutters. I'd better tell him how they do it in foreign parts.

If the UK is unprepared for Global Warming then more roofs will suffer, many houses on the continent subject to snow have small "spikes" on the lower part of the roof to prevent "creep" into the gutter and also roof avalanches. Standard fittings on the tiles.

Very funny!

We have lost at least one gutter in the last week...

Jerry, the roof's still there. It's covered in ice. Presumably an unheated annex.

It was the 'Oops!' that did it. Never say 'Oops!' when you're srattling wizawoos.

Wisdom indeed!

If you correlate insurance figures for guttering claims into a model, you can prove the switch from no gutters, to cast iron gutters, to modern plastic caused warmal globing, plastic gutters obviously caused a tipping point

I mean to say, if the standard of climate science is saying clouds cause warming, but warming doesn't cause clouds, I can make anything I want up too can't I?

You're obviously not using enough tobacco up there in the frozen north.

?

Quote from a letter in Hong Kong's South China Morning Post: "I believe smoking contributes to global warming".
Slightly O/T; a recent survey revealed that over half the population believed in AGW but 83% didn't know what it is.

Illustrates one of the dangers of warbal gloming though. People not used to snow and icicles on roofs attempting to clear snow. Not necessarily realising snow can be pretty heavy and have a layer of ice underneath it. Standing underneath it when it dumps can be very hazardous to health. Presumably also improved loft/roof insulation helps snow accumulation and hopefully that's factored into the loads roofs are designed to take? Wondered about that last year given my place has a large, flat roof.

Two points:

First, he was smart enough to stay off the roof. From what I read, the ERs all over Europe are full of punters who got up on the roof. Imagine what would have happened if he had gotten up there.

Don't let them run your Sky Cable through the gutters. That is what I think he said the cable was. Now no Tele for him until spring.

I wonder how ZDB cleared her gutters? Hopefully she tried to get up on the roof. We can hope.
