Hockey Stick Illusion ships Monday
Jan 15, 2010 Books Climate: HSI
I've had word from the publisher that The Hockey Stick Illusion will start to ship from the warehouse on Monday.
Phew! That was a long haul. Amazing to compare the turnaround at a traditional publisher to the speed with which Fuller and Mosher have produced their Climategate: The CRUTape Letters.

It's the name of the game in book publishing. Neither it nor the book printing trade have the resources to turn round more than a tiny handful of books in quick time. It would (does) put costs through the roof.
Hopefully, the book will prove to be as good as John Etherington's excellent analysis of wind power in the same series. On past form, I'm confident it will be so I'm looking forward to the postie's knock some time next week. Good luck with it all.
BTW, despite not being reviewed in the MSM, John's book is apparently selling well beyond initial forecasts.
"...when he joined Creative Labs as a director of marketing and product development. "
I think that's the CRUx of the matter.
Looking forward to your book very much.
Congratulations. I'll be expecting you to autograph the copy I just order from Amazon when we see you on Feb 25.
Very much looking forward to it.
Congratulations. I too am looking forward to reading the book.
With any luck, this year the entire hoax will seriously unravel. We have a reasonable idea of who are the villains and who, like yourself, are the goodies; the latter now joined by Steve Mosher and Charles the Moderator.
Can we take a moment to remember a couple of chaps who will never know they were vindicated?
The first is Michael Crichton. His writing style is not really my taste, but I have settled down to read State of Fear - no doubt he left family who will benefit from the royalties. I do recall the unholy glee with which some warmists greeted the news of Michael's death: they really feared him.
The second guy is John Daly, who was dead before I took an interest in the subject. He knew his onions, and I think his every point has been borne out by science, especially his critique of alleged sea level rises. John's very attractive website is still on the Net six years later, and I suggest a visit there is equivalent to paying one's respects at the headstone:

I've just put it on my Amazon wishlist, so I expect to receive it for my soon upcoming birthday. I've read a lot about the hockey stick, but I don't think this book will bore me at all. Looking forward to it!
congratulations on getting in print !
@Tom Fuller
I read the description of your new book. Were you a CTM in the Navy?
I'm so looking forward to your book landing in my post box!. I pre-ordered it, so if I am not one of teh first recipients, i shall be really cross ...
I've got my order for both books in!
And an order from me. Amazon's saying delivery in 2-4wks at the moment, so maybe demand exceeding supply.
Is the book going to be available in the United States?
I'm still trying to do a deal with a US publisher. You should be able to get it through Amazon UK in the meantime (shipping costs are not astronomical IIRC). If I don't do a deal soon I'll self-publish in the US.
My copy is down as shipping on Monday. Has anyone managed to order a copy of Mosher's book yet? I couldn't really get the website to talk to me, and the delivery charges looked a bit step!
I just ordered Hockey Stick Illusion from AmazonUK...gotta wait 2-4 weeks for it to come stateside.
I also just ordered the Mosher/Fuller book. Should be here in a week. The createspace website is a bit slow, but I was successful...
And I always say "man-made global-warming", rather than climate change, or even AGW. I suppose I should really say "catastrophic man-made global-warming" if i want to be really precise.
I don't see why the warmists should "take over" "climate change" (which we all agree is normal and happens all the time). They have done their best to take over cold winters (as being a sign of "climate change" "extremes" ...).
"Oh, didn't you know? ... climate change is responsible for knife crime, woodworm, childhood obesity, PMT and male pattern baldness as well.. No really...a friend of mine was talking to George Monbiot on the plane coming back from Canada....no darling he doesn't normally fly, but in this case he really had to see for himself....then get back for Copenhagen....no darling, nothing to do with Hans Christian Andersen....it was a conference....climate change...hello....?...."
When I look up your book on Amazon in the US, I get:
Out of Print--Limited Availability.
And can not place an order for a copy.
Crosspatch - order from Amazon UK.
Mine's been on order for ages. I got an email today from amazon UK saying that delivery would be delayed (till mid-Feb I think) as they were awaiting stocks.
I hope for you that this means that the first batch in had sold out!
I too had an email from Amazon
