BBC slicing and dicing again

The BBC has been caught "spicing up" its news coverage again, this time editing one of the Lindsey oil refinery strikers' comments to make him appear racist. Coming so soon after the revelation that the corporation also edited Obama's inauguration speech to make it appear more supportive of the case for global warming, slice and dice journalism at the Beeb starts to look less like a bug and more like a feature.

Indeed. I rather fear that straightforward, objective reporting went straight out the window a while ago, to be replaced by what has been variously described by its proponents in terms such as 'enhancing the narrative' or 'interpreting events'. And, of course, as a personal favourite, by some influential supporters as 'emerging truths'.

Personally, it comes across more as 'rigging things to fit preconceived agendas'.

Bad enough in any MSM medium. But for the national broadcaster I am required to fund, hey, let's use the term for all the value our current 'leadership' has managed to confer upon it... it's 'not fit for purpose, and hence unacceptable'.

ps: I note Ms. Watts, Mr, Rippon and 'team' have opted to let the whole issue drop quietly off the blog thread rather than attempt any more replies.

Quite sensible I guess, especially as, along with our new market rate talent senior exec hero(ine) Ms. Hunt, it is usually the gift that keeps on digging.

Not exactly responsive to the stakeholders who pay their salaries, and to whom they are accountable, mind.

Nobody be surprised by this the BBC are part of the Marxist state and will do all that they can to keep pulling the wool over our eyes.

Just like the BBC's relation, the ABC in Australia. Ran a poll on its website asking if fires in State of Victoria were due to 'global warming'. 92% of 15,400 votes ticked the box that 'global warming' was a myth.

Our free thinking and independent ABC removed that poll from its website.
