Yer Grace:

Don't have nearly enough French, German, Spanish or other European languages (what do you call someone who speaks two languages? Bilingual. One language? American.) to figure out what is happening elsewhere, but the language on DK and several Americn blogs is positively chilling. Our political masters are incredibly out of touch. A revival of "Marat-Sade" might be enough to touch off a revolution.

Not sure they are out of touch - all this crap is going precisely the way they want it to go. They also know that there won't be a revolution because we ain't hurting enough yet.
